Controlling the border controls unfettered smuggling activities. It won't stop all of it but it will make it much more difficult. Again, do you leave your door open at night when you go to bed? I ran around with a crowd that liked to party, and I never ran into Angel dust. I graduated in 1995 to give you a time frame.

I saw coke, meth (alot), lsd, mushrooms (and of course pot) and heard about heroin but - with one exception - never saw it. The exception was called "H-Bomb" and we were told it was a pressed pill of heroin and cocaine meant to mimic the effects of MDMA...basically it's a speedball. I guess real ecstasy wasn't getting to central OK at the time. None of my friends who took it ever had any issues other than it made them throw up almost immediately and they felt awful the next day. They seemed to enjoy everything in between though.

Either way, I don't think you can compare the deadliness of PCP to Fentanyl. A tiny spec of pure fent will drop you dead in your tracks. It's hard to even find statistics on PCP deaths, and a majority are from acting a fool and not the drug shutting your body down.

I am not saying all or nothing, but you guys both acknowledged that it wouldn't stop it completely. So to put all of those excuses on a wall is disingenuous. It would maybe make a small reduction. That is playing politics.

The best way to stop these deaths, is to get people off drugs. That should be the focal point. Get rid of the demand.

FYI, I am not anti wall. I actually think that it makes sense. I think that impact the right believes it will have isn't accurate.

I don't disagree that we have a major fentanyl crisis. Only an idiot would deny that. However, I will mention that 4 biggest years of fentanyl related deaths besides what will be Biden 4 years, were Trump 4 years.

So to say that issue is arresting illegals doesn't match the data. Trump arrested illegals but he had a major fentanyl problem under his presidency. That clearly didn't stop the problem.

I'm not saying that Biden administration isn't without fault. It clearly got worse under him. I just think this problem is something Biden inherited, more so than created as the MTGs of the world like to say. That's based on the data.

Want to get depressed...check out the statistics on recovery. Less than 12% of these types of addicts will ever get clean. Short of mass lobotomies, I don't see how we rid ourselves of the demand.
