I'm not a Republican either, I only march with them on the Constitution.
I'm not a Republican either. I vote based on God, Jesus, Holy Spirit (so I vote against the murdering of babies and human sacrifice), vote for maximum take home pay (so minimum taxes), and vote for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all (all men are created equal). With that said, I just happen to have voted for Republicans thus far in my life.

There's a federal law against 'systematic' purging of the rolls close to the election.

I don't know if 'systematic' applies but VA election officials should have known the law. They shouldn't have waited so long to do the purge.
BS

VA has been doing this every election cycle for years. This is the first year it's been a problem because we have an administration that doesn't care about the optics of suing to keep people who SELF IDENTIFIED as non-citizens on the voter rolls. They're admitting they are fine with cheating. Which is why SCOTUS ruled the way they did - the ask from the DOJ is literally insane.

And you have to wait until registration closes, otherwise cheaters will let you purge it then file a ton of illegal registrations and steal the election.

And same day registration results in a provisional ballot that faces greater scrutiny.

You sort of suck at election security concepts.

I know thinking for yourself can be scary. Thankfully, you have Trump and his twitter team to lead you every step of the way.
At least I have a working brain, son. You have made VERY clear you do not. And HOW WILL YOU PROTECT YOUR FAMILY? I have never heard you respond......(Make bock bock bock bock noises like a chicken..it may confuse them)

A better question is it OK to knock legitimate voters off the voter roles? Because part of the 1600 are legal voters who likely won't have time to respond to get themselves reinstated. The non-citizens don't vote anyway in any significant numbers.

But the reality of this situation is if they actually wanted to get the non-citizens off the roles they would have done it sooner. But since that's not the actual purpose here, they waited until the last minute.
The total number this cycle was close to 7,000. That's enough to swing a state.

The 1,600 were the self-identified non-citizens the DOJ challenged.

Because it makes total sense to leave people who tell you they aren't citizens on the voter rolls.

I do not think we have ONE Republican back here. I am an American/ Constitutionalist. I vote for who is best for this GREAT Nation. Because I know how special she is, and her people. And she needs to be well taken care of.

I'm not an expert on federal election law. My understanding is that there is a federal law that says you can't 'systematically' purge voter rolls within some time frame.

If your job is purging your state's voter rolls, you should know the applicable federal laws because you have to follow them.

Important notes: I am not saying we should allow illegals to vote. SCOTUS ruled intelligently.

The Constitution CLEARLY puts the onus of running elections on the states.

Which is why whatever law you are trying to reference didn't change SCOTUS' decision.

You seem really frightened that someone is going to break into your house and go after your family. Maybe you should consider moving to a better neighborhood.

Yeah, that's why everything is so screwed up. The states can do things 50 different ways. It's asking for shenanigans.

Let them eat cake, eh Theo?

Recall what happened to the individual that spoke those words?

Did you March with then when Trump asked Pence not to certify the vote?
There were good reasons to hold off certifications on that day. And they are still occurring.

According to the Daily Absentee Voter Reports obtained by FOIA from the MI Bureau of Elections, on October 28, 2024, Tim Vetter and Phani Mantravadi, who have peer-reviewed each other’s work, claim 208,075 votes were cast in Michigan by 82,647 voters (based on their voter ID’s).
