Trump was president in 2020 and I fail to see how it's Biden's fault she raised 2 junkies.
It's no one's fault but she is trying to make it about Biden border but it was Trump border. Yet, some people will believe her and blame Biden.
I think the point is that fentanyl has become far more prevalent in this country since Biden's inauguration. I think that's true for two reasons...
1. China is flooding the world with fentanyl
2. Our southern border has become a sieve because illegal immigrants believe that if they can get across, they will likely be allowed to stay. That overwhelming flood has made it more difficult to stop the flow of things like fentanyl.
On that second note, as a LEO, we don't even detain illegals anymore and yes, we used to under Trump. When Obama was in office, from what I understand, it was the same (I wasn't a LEO under Obama).
Under Trump, INS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) would ask us to detain undocumented and illegal immigrants so that they could determine their status in this country. We held them in our jails until they picked them up.
When Biden took office, and I mean the day he took office, INS told us to stop picking them up. NOTHING is done with them. No documentation, no detainment, no court date...NADA.
So yes, I think it's fair to say that Biden's ascendancy to the White House has in fact played a role in the proliferation of narcotics flowing across our border.

Obviously overdoses in general have skyrocketed (60k-70k per year 2016-2020 to 91k in 2020 and 107k in 2021), fueled primarily by fentanyl. Ironically heroine overdoses have actually declined over this time frame because almost all heroine contains fentanyl.

I don't disagree that we have a major fentanyl crisis. Only an idiot would deny that. However, I will mention that 4 biggest years of fentanyl related deaths besides what will be Biden 4 years, were Trump 4 years.
So to say that issue is arresting illegals doesn't match the data. Trump arrested illegals but he had a major fentanyl problem under his presidency. That clearly didn't stop the problem.
I'm not saying that Biden administration isn't without fault. It clearly got worse under him. I just think this problem is something Biden inherited, more so than created as the MTGs of the world like to say. That's based on the data.

Tighter border security would absolutely decrease the amount of drugs coming into America. Along with criminals and human traffikers.

That’s the problem with Fentanyl.
Most deaths never get a chance to ever be junkies, they die first. They take a pill that someone tells them is a Benzo and it’s actually a repressed Fent pill. Sure, some are heroin addicts but a lot are kids with zero tolerance. Cops have to have narcan on hand for themselves, just opening a bag of pure fentanyl can be enough to OD someone who isn’t a regular user. It takes such a small amount.
And I don’t see why the timing of their deaths makes any difference @kalimgoodman . Fentanyl is killing people and it’s coming across the southern border - and your president has flung the barn door wide open as a part of your party’s plan to stay in power forever.

No. Majority of drugs if not a super majority is getting into the US via planes, boats and tunnels. They also cross over legally through checkpoint with the drugs stashed in cars.

When the surge of filthy illegals started pouring through our border, smuggling increased ten fold. Trump addressed this problem and yet the dimwitted Democrats refused to build a border wall. I'm familiar. Personal responsibility is still part of the equation. You never know what's in a dirty roll either. So if I choose to take one and instead of tripping balls I drop dead I'm not blaming the dealer and I don't expect sympathy.

We didn’t deal with this when we were kids, nothing as powerful as Fentanyl existed.
