Mullen in so many words seems to be stating our QBs are still lost and we will be lucky to have a QB that knows what it takes by next summer.

I truly wish you would shut the **** up just one time.

This is EXACTLY what BONG did, your boy-toy hero, and it messed him up so bad he left the board to get a grip on life.

I'm sure you think you're "spreading the truth" or "getting the message through" to us or some such other nonsense.

You're just an annoying, pompous prick who makes EVERYTHING completely negative.

Really, you just find excuses to bring shit up all the time.

What kind of miserable, sad sack person are you?

How can this possibly be enjoyable for you?

Damnit man. Grow up or take some ****ing pills. This is ridiculous.

(Awaits the lols and sunshine pumping and 4-8 year old message references as is his only play)

Are you implying Coach Mullen didn't just say that about the QB position? Or are you just assuming its Gator Fever making up stuff? Keep up the sunshine pumping head in the sand act about recruiting if it makes you feel better.

I read the same thing.

Unlike you, I don't feel the need to rush over like an attention seeking school boy to, in some twisted way, brag about it.

Listen.

None of us here have waited these soon to be 9 months between seasons and coaching changes to get to the finish line just to have you constantly bitch at every turn.

Some of us have real lives and stress and worries, and prefer that, despite how excited and over the top we all get at times, that our football is still a fun and exciting thing to look forward to.

It's just a sport, dude.

Why in the hell do you act like some ass hole all the time? Doesn't even make sense.

And if you don't knock off this sunshine pumping nonsense, and read a damned book, I'll teach you what it means.

I'll give you everything you THINK we are, and show you just how annoying you are to the rest of us.

Maybe then you'll get it through that thick skull.

Dan Mullen on 8-6-18 post practice:
(the Gators will get elite quarterback play at some point.)

What he actually said, not what some 'fevered fan' or media-moron thought he said. “This year, we’ll get them right,” Mullen said.

“We’ll keep putting them in situations, finding out what they’re most comfortable with right now as we go through installation. Each guy what they’re comfortable with and have that package ready for them because you don’t know who’s going to be playing."

I’m seeing flashes here and there, but it’s really about consistency of performance,” Mullen said. “One of the things that is hard is how much work you have to put in at the QB position to be successful."

“They are young guys and they’re still learning that. That just takes time because there are so many little intricacies of it. You can’t coach everything at one time, so they’ve got to put in the extra work.”

Mullen has a history of developing elite QB's, starting with Alex Smith ** at Utah, followed by Tim Tebow ***** at Florida and most recently, Dak Prescott *** and Nick Fitzgerald ** at Mississippi State.
(recruiting stars are so critically important apparently)

Transitioning from functional to elite is a process, and it’s different for every QB. It happens quick for some. For others, the development can take some time. Right now, the UF QB's are early in the process of being coached and developed by Mullen.

"Their attitude is all really good. They just have a lot of work to do.”

Lol Like I said just keep letting that sunshine pump in while recruiting is in the dumps. I don't mind hearing the mess heck I used to not look at reality as much as I should have either. At least you guys are consistent with the attacks on the realists. You did the same mess with the last 2 coaches when people pointed things out. One thing I don't do is get personal first when making my points on football.

Yep anyone not with the sunshine pumping program is an ..... I guess

That’s the thing...nobody here is pumping sunshine. No one is saying we’re winning 10 games, or competing for a championship, or that our recruiting class is great right now. You’ve literally taken people saying “wait and see before passing judgement” to somehow pumping sunshine. That makes zero sense. Fall back. I promise you don’t have much longer to wait and say “I told you so!” if things go wrong. Until then not everybody wants to see the same thing posted day after day after day.

Dude needs some sunshine pumped into his veins...preferably Zoloft.

Yes they are - acting like recruiting is going alight. And in reality recruiting is in the toilet right now for a place like UF.

I've found in life when I get reactions such as this one posted above to my own comments, it's far closer on the mark than even I could imagine. If he's wrong, why does it bother you so much? Several boosters that I know in Tampa have said very similar things.

Anyone care to make a prediction on which of these schools we will pass in the Rivals recruiting rankings at the end?

My guess is - Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Greatly depends on how many each program signs. Florida would have had a Top 10 class in Feb if Mullen had signed a full class. He'll finish 2nd or 3rd in the East, most likely and flirt with a Top 10 class.

Much to your chagrin, I'm sure.

I saw today where Franks is up to 240lbs. Dudes been working hard in the weight room. He'll be much more durable and a load to bring down. If he's willing to put in the time, he can be a good qb. The kids got an absolute bazooka.

So if a coach makes similar reports like Muschamp and the media said about Driskel looking good...they are pumping sunshine...and UF season is doomed.

If a coach doesn't pump sunshine and is tough on the QB's like Mullen is being...UF football is doomed.

Fever repeats the same shit 86 times.

Nobody said recruiting"is great"...some of us don't go bald stressing out over something that can change in a matter of months and something we have zero control over.

I didn’t know Walmart had janitorial closets that big. Color me impressed.

Tennis-sea's 2015 class of 29 was #5.
Today, there are only 11 from that class still on their roster.
Let that sink in to your village idiot mind....

Anyone that uses rivals (FSUcks Clown-U boosters) deserves the mental anguish that results from taking them seriously...

ESPN has UF with 8 that are 4 stars, even before they have played a down of their Sr seasons. -- Sewage Pumpers beware of the real reality that you're currently missing...

I thought it was obvious but here's what you are wrong about "Yes they are - acting like recruiting is going alight. And in reality recruiting is in the toilet right now for a place like UF."

Quite literally nobody thinks that. You are ultra negative and then make up a strawman as your opposition, then claim that you are right because the strawman is wrong.

Like Trump said, "WRONG" - lol nobody thinks what you say they think.

Wait a second chief! You mean our players are getting bigger and stronger under the current staff? Quit oumping sunshine and stick to the only fact that overrides all: the 2019 class is not where it should be 5 months before NSD

Florida signed a top-3 recruiting class for three consecutive years from 2006-2008.

New Gators coach Dan Mullen expects nothing less now that he’s back in Gainesville.

“When I was here 10 years ago, we were blessed to have some truly spectacular players,” Mullen said in his introductory press conference.

“We have to do a great job recruiting to get that level of player back here to lead us back to championships,”
Mullen said. “It’s a new challenge for everybody in college football because we have an early signing day coming up, and recruiting is the lifeblood of the program.”
-----------------------

I guess Mullen was auditioning for the comedy channel with that after he got hired. Maybe some more California dreaming will do the trick this class.

Meyer's first class at Florida had a star average of 3.39.

Mullen's first class at Florida had a star average of 3.78.

lol Using your joke reasoning Mullen needs to cut a couple of 3 stars and have an even smaller class than last year's small class and then we can claim our recruiting is right there with Bama's as long as the points system isn't used on the quality of the blue chippers. I think we would have been around 13th just on blue chipper points for 2018 if 3 stars weren't included.

His 2nd class is a complete joke right now. That is where its shown if you can recruit or not.

Again - who are you arguing with? I don't see anyone thinking, "Man we are in great shape right now recruiting"

Thread Title is 'Gator Practice,' not Gator 2019 Recruiting...

So, how did the team arrive for Fall Practice?
Bigger - Stronger - Faster - More Aggressive

Just the bio size (Ht/Wt) will usually indicate where on the DL a guy is going to play.
Not at UF. Here, the DL'men will move up and down the line with the calls and the rotation.

Newbee DE Adam Shuler 6-4 275 played DE for WV, but he's working at DT right now.
And guys like Elijah Conliffe 6-4 317 will be working some of the times at NT or DE. You're never going to know for sure where anyone is going to line up or what roll they are playing on a given play. Confiffe will move in to NT, while NT Tedarrell Slaton 6-4 340 moves out to DT or even DE. Then again, at times, DE's CeCe, Jabari, and Polite will all be on the field at the same time, giving opposing QB's the heebie-jeebies... I'm lovin' it so far!
The depth chart for DE is about 4-5 deep (Carter-Clayton-Langham-Chatfield) with top quality. Fast, focused, aggressiveness is here. -- The DB-U secondary is already 'lickin' their chops' for the results....
=======

Oh BTW, for some of the few doom-n-gloomers (amateur prophets). Sophomore UA-AA WR Daquon Green said there’s been a noticeable change in the QB's since the spring. “Biggest difference I’m seeing is that they’re a lot more competitive and they’re more confident,” Green said. “You can tell in their play, they’re getting a better understanding (of the offense). “And there’s better communication between the quarterbacks and the receivers and the rest of the offense. I feel like this season is going to be really good.” :p
=======

Now consider Nick Savage and the Nutritionist since the Spring....

TE/DE Dante Lang 222 < 253 +31
QB Feleipe' Franks 219 < 240 +21
RG/RT Fred Johnson 311 < 330 +19
LB Rayshad Jackson 217 < 236 +19
DE Mark Langham 269 < 286 +17
LB Jeremiah Moon 218 < 232 +14
DE Zachary Carter 263 < 277 +14
LB Lacedrick Brunson 220 < 234 +14
LB Nick Smith 213 < 227 +14
WR Freddie Swain 186 < 199 +13
CB Marco Wilson 177 < 190 +13
DB Trey Dean III 181 < 194 +13
CB C.J. Henderson 179 < 191 +12
OG/OC Tyler Jordan 309 < 321 +12
DB Shawn Davis 191 < 202 +11
DE/OLB Jabari Ziniga 246 < 257 +11
WR Kadarius Toney 180 < 190 +10
DE/OLB CeCe Jefferson 242 < 252 +10

Others that have not had big weight changes, have been converting fat% to muscle instead.

Again - who are you arguing with? I don't see anyone thinking, "Man we are in great shape right now recruiting"

He uses a similar logic to this:

Guy: I don't agree with Obama's economic policies.

Fever: oh so you're a racist?

Guy: What? No? I didn't agree with Clinton either. I'm a free market capitalist at heart.

Fever: what about Obamacare?

Guy: Well, like I said, I'm a capitalist, but I guess we'll wait and see.

Fever: whatever racist.

Guy: dude what's your problem?

Fever: I'm going to keep calling you a racist until you're not a racist anymore.

Guy: the hell?? I told you I'm not a racist! I just disagree with-

Fever: Lol there you go being a racist again.

From Goldkamp observations:

Trask makes Krull wait on the corner route. Franks overthrows the go route.

Trask behind on the go route. Green drops the go from Emory. Less clean through this set of reps.

Krull can’t catch up to one. Franks low to Pitts, hits the dirt.

Emory hits Cleveland in the feet. Massey drops one.

Stephens drops one, Jones overthrows the deep ball. Trask also overthrows it.

Trask on the wrong page on that one, threw between two crossing routes. Trask wobbles a corner route way short. Shaking his hand again. Wearing a glove on the throwing hand today. Clearly bothering him again.

Green drops a shallow cross. Wilson picks off a corner route from Franks after tipping it to himself.

Brunson beats Davis for a sack. Clayton yelled at by Grantham for being out of position. Franks flushed, coverage great. Eventually tried to hit Krull and overthrows him. Burney with a sack, unblocked off the edge.
