DeSantis is officially DONE

If one follows the one true God, creator of all, then yes one would not align with those that follow numerous, false, idols based on superstition.
No I get that, but Mike Pence is a RINO establishment POS. But he’s super evangelical.

At what point does good policy and intelligence give way to theology?

I dont think anyone is saying that they vote for someone simply for being a Christian. Its just at the top of a list of pre-reqs, at least for me.

IMO the main point of the first few books of the OT was the depth of God's patience.
I agree,....patience because we are all ass hats. It took them 40 days to go to the golden calf. But fast forward to the Passion....Peter LIVED with Jesus, SAW Him perform miracles and still denied Him three times. Still, Peter and Paul were left to form and guide the early church

Ok, so you have a (hypothetical) choice for VP between Pence and Vivek.

What’s your pick?

I get it, but it’s sort of what JS said. It is priority numero UNO.

In your hypothetical, I probably write in, but theres no way I can vote Vivek.

That said, there’s a reason I have never had to make the choice between a Hindu and a Rino. In fact, I remember not long ago, Faith (specifically Christianity) was a big deal in debates, speeches etc…when considering candidates.

Maybe, just maybe…..that's why we are having so many issues.

If nothing else, there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest that very thing. And when you consider that, the teachings in the word, and historical precedence of others….

I dunno, I was always taught…don’t overthink things. 1 + 1 really does equal 2.

Refresh my memory (I should probably just read Exodus, but...) wasn't it the Isrealites at Mt Sinai worshiping the golden calf that prompted God to say He was going to destroy them all and Moses intervened on their behalf to save them?
Just one of a gazillion times that many Israelites strayed from God, but there's the certain ones that remained steadfast and true to God throughout the ages through to the present time that save them time and time again.

What does Pence have to do with this? He's a weirdo. He's not getting the presidential nominee nor is anyone picking him as a VP nominee, so he's irrelevant.

This is why I wish more people would read the Bible. I think a lot of people who are non-believers or at least curious won't read the Bible because they think it will simply lecture to them about how they are sinners and they need to be perfect or else they will go to hell.

The whole Bible is basically a long collection of sinners engaging in the absolute worst sinning imaginable, and there still being a path for them to get into Heaven anyway. If anything, most people who read the Bible for the first time probably come away thinking 'Damn, I'm not as fvcked up as I thought!'

Neither, obvious problems with both.

I think to make your comparison work, we would need a faithful Christian with terrible policies vs a non-Christian with amazing policies.

I would still write in someone else.

I've been doing a lot of research into eschatology lately (what will happen in the end times), and based on what I'm learning, I think getting strong Christian leaders in place is more important and imperative than ever.

Guys career is over. How is Florida feeling about their Establishment Governor? It’s clear now why he appeals to Lady Tallahassee and other “moderates”.

Mitt and Ron. It’s the same picture.

I assume he is thinking, or being advised, that, if Trump becomes unviable, he would be next in line.
The bad part? He still wouldn’t win. Right now, he is a bad candidate.

Besides the bad decisions of association he has made, he just isn’t that inspirational. Did some great things as a Governor, but is pretty meh on the campaign trail.

And casey isn’t helping him.

I do wonder how this plays out as far as 2nd place. A lot of NeverTrumpers could jump ship from DeSantis knowing he can get any significant base vote. Who would they move to though?

DeSantis can't win without almost all Trump supporters voting for him. If Trump gets taken off the ballot, almost all Trump supporters will immediately become Never DeSantis, so he has no chance.

We will simply vote in someone else. I could see Kari Lake being the obvious choice if Trump can't be on the ballot.

However....

Note the latest indictment against Trump is for trying to put 'distrust' in the election or whatever. I think they want that case to take out Trump but also take out ANY candidate who EVER questioned if the 2020 election wasn't legit.

Basically, this indictment is designed to take out Trump AND any America First candidate.

So the only ones left would be DeSantis, Pence, Nikki Haley and Tim Scott.

IOW, guys that are all under the thumb of DC.

Yep. I go back to what many of us said shortly after the election.

The Tree of Liberty. The moment is here, and has been. The longer it gets drawn out, the more pain we will ALL experience.

How do we know? History.
