DeSantis is officially DONE

Yep. He has ruined his political career. Sad really. Such promise, and he got in bed with folks that destroyed him.
Hard to argue with that.

He made the, it seems, fatal mistake of going against the political barbarian in Trump without the base asking for Trump to leave and without a VERY clear theory of operations on how to win the primary and general.

John James is spot on.

DeSantis is responsible for vision, not every point of first pass execution. If it is an error, review and fix it.

It’s amazing to me that Christina Pushaw is still employed. I remember being told Ron wouldn’t make hiring mistakes.

Trump and Biden are tied per the NYT Poll.
Issue is in the middle or as they termed the "NOTA" (Neither of the Above).

That group though, is not liberal, but their negatives on Trump are far higher than Biden.
It is this middle that will swing the election, unless doubling down on the base improves turnout.
Right, wrong, or otherwise, Trump needs to campaign, go door to door, and motivate the base like never before.
Laura I. said it well in an interview with Vivek last week. The right needs to embrace legal ballot harvesting and early mail in voting.

"Wishcasting" that away will lead to another loss.

I am 1000% OK with running Trump against Brandon. I do not need a poll...I know that there are not that many idiots in America...despite what a lib rag says. Kind of harsh...but spot on. SECONDLY..he WILL NOT be the nominee. It has become IMPOSSIBLE for him to be re elected

The data and rhetoric can be spun both ways on this. As you can see from the Harris Poll, Trump is currently polling much higher with “the middle”. Independents. I think I would tend to put more stock on who the middle says they would vote for, than “negatives”

Just my two cents

That's a legit, to even left leaning poll. Slide 23 (I flipped through the findings).

Great post

I am old enough to remember when Lady Tallahassee was trying to convince the board that the Trump train was getting smaller and smaller. 🤡

Tell you what boys, and Miss Goldie lady, if Trump picks RFK, Jr. as his VP nominee, then I might be boarding the Trump train once again. Also, the latest third indictment regarding overturning 2020 election has me leaning towards Trump more, not less.

He truly is America's only hope. I just cannot see any other candidate stirring the pot like he will do. Secondly..he make many mistakes because of the people he surrounded himself with the first term. I feel confident he will not make the same mistakes this time

One more thing. I am a Trump supporter who has not totally given up on DeSantis in the future. Now is NOT his time. Hell...he is 17 points down...in FLORIDA to Trump. DeSantis to me is BY FAR the best governor we have ever had. That paints a pretty telling story

Has anyone else noticed that some people who used to post on this thread have gone missing? I wonder if it is hard for them to realize we were SPOT ON about DeSantis? (edit: I held out longer than some of you because I HOPED it was not true. But EVERYONE can see it now) AGAIN...Trump was right...they were wrong. When will they learn?

I doubt the pick will be RFK, some of his policies are pretty left, but he is a truth teller. I like him.

My bet is Vivek. He’s a perfect match ideologically, and he’s been smart enough to not poke the bear.

One MAJOR issue with Vivek. His faith. Evangelicals will (and rightfully so) have a problem with it.

Changing subjects….

So evangelicals have an issue with Hinduism?
Indeed they do sir. Christianity and Hinduism are not compatible. Not only not compatible, but Christianity (The Bible) gives specific instruction on religions that worship idols. If you read the Old Testament and believe it, the worship of idols lead to Israels downfall time and time again. So much so, that at some point one is like “ok God, I get the picture”. We must not worship Idols.

If that makes sense?

I think the USA is getting the ole "ok God, I get the picture" treatment right now. I hope we figure it out soon

Im suprised that so many people are suprised by this.
The crux of Americas downfall. It’s a very interesting discussion. In the 1960’s the supreme court removed bibles from public education.

My opinion? Correlation is Causation when discussing the downfall of a nation. Happened in the Bible and it’s happening here.

Yet folks keep asking what has lead us to where we are. 🤷‍♂️

Not trying to be an ass about it, I just don’t think it’s difficult to figure out.

Refresh my memory (I should probably just read Exodus, but...) wasn't it the Isrealites at Mt Sinai worshiping the golden calf that prompted God to say He was going to destroy them all and Moses intervened on their behalf to save them?

Just curious, prior to 1960, I wonder how many times we heard 'just move on' when someone tried to push policies that went against the basic teachings of Christianity?

Me too brother, me too. We discuss who we need to elect, and will continue to do so, but the root cause….

Is a God thing.
Yeah. I vote. However, as I have said before I think that the culture / country / govt....however you want to look at it is over. I think it upsets people, and conservative people think that this mentality is quiting or giving up. It took me a long time, but I realize that I dont worship the US Constitution, captialism or the American flag. I worship the God of Abraham. I think when conservative people say things like they want the civil war or revolution to put things back the way they were before it comes dangerously close to using the US Constitution etc as an idol. I am not killing my fellow man over a perfered economic system or governing document, only self defense. I dont know what comes next be we need to sow in the Gospel
