Arresting Trump is the absolute best thing that could happen to the MAGA movement. We know there’s no case there, it’ll wake a ton more people up.
Trump is the most investigated politician in the history of the country. I’d be shocked if they have some totally new charge out of whole cloth.
If it’s the Stormy Daniels issue, yes we have seen the evidence and there is no case there.
And the justice system has been asymmetrical for some time, but when you start throwing bogus charges at political opponents to keep them from running it then becomes weaponized.

I checked out early yesterday and watched Netflix with the wife. Looks like I missed a hellstorm last night. Trump probably will go to NY of his own accord. But jurisdiction is a different animal than being apprehended in the same state. What happens if the state of Florida refuses to recognize an extradition order and it becomes Secret Service vs bounty hunters/NY cops?
To your point, I was the guy who preferred DeSantis but would have reluctantly voted for Trump if necessary.

The only person in the state of Florida who has the authority to refuse extradition is the Governor. He is bound by the interstate extradition act, which based on current case law says he has a duty to act with 4 exceptions assuming the named individual is not already serving sentence in the asylum state. Failure to act subjects the Governor of the state to the jurisdiction of the federal court.

Actually the DOJ said that there was a case but they don't indict a sitting president. Just read the report from the Cohen investigation. That was Bill Barr DOJ. Biden DOJ decided not to pursue it and passed it on to the state of NY.
What charges they came up with from it, remains to be seen.
For the people that call this weaoponizing the justice system, well Trump DOJ started the investigation and NY finished it. Major of the evidence was retrieved from Barr/Trump DOJ. The weaponization is Trump DOJ not pursuing charges from the beginning.

No. Not to Trumps benefit. NY cops can't come to Florida and get Trump. Federally sanctioned bail enforcement agents can. A lower court would have to stay the extradition order and since the order originates in the state of New York I will win the gold in female gymnastics before that happens.
The secret service would comply. Zero chance they would do otherwise. They would bring Trump in themselves.
I already predicted that chess move. And would zoom to appeal immediately........ Being a former President it could be moved along the docket mach schnell. It would be interesting.
