DeSantis can't refuse extradition.

You can't not go to court because you think the charges are bullshit.

If you ever said "Don't resist arrest, go to the station and deal with the charges," kindly STFU.

So hear me out, nailed in the head....

Let's say DeSantis goes ALL IN on fighting this extradition, and let's say the dems are stupid enough to go ALL IN on trying to force him to.

That COULD open the door perfectly for DeSantis to bow out of the race AND it gives Trump a reason to bring him on the ticket as his VP. It would also put DeSantis back in the good graces of the Trump base, which will clear the path for him in 2028 and 2032 again.

We'll see how it plays out, but I could see a path...

Fresno doesn't know what the charges are but already knows half of Congress is guilty of those charges

It's funny, but all of these charges against Trump are moving Ron to the back of the bus. Ron needs to ban tranny operations or something to get back his mojo. 😂
Well the dems just gave DeSantis his opening: He fights the Trump extradition, the dems are dumb enough to push it, and if DeSantis sticks to his guns, the dems push to ARREST DESANTIS TOO.

DeSantis bows out of the race, Trump says I love ya man, wanna be my VP????

5D Chess. Dems live to be hoodwinked.

Not sure it would apply in this case, based on that wording. Trump didn't flee to another state to avoid being arrested, he lives in Florida.
I am.
"
There are only four grounds upon which the governor of the asylum state may deny another state's request for extradition:

  1. the extradition documents facially are not in order;
  2. the person has not been charged with a crime in the demanding state;
  3. the person is not the person named in the extradition documents; or
  4. the person is not a fugitive."

Speculated in several places that charges stem from hush money paid to a hooker, which is why I said "if".

You not seeing / hearing the same? Or are you guys just going to stick your heads in the sand?

You also "heard" (from djt) that he would be arrested last Tuesday
And that Bragg was preparing to drop the case LOL

I told all of you 2 weeks ago that Weiselberg & Pecker (National Enquirer) were deeply involved

Expect felony charges for things you haven't heard discussed previously

DeSantis didn’t say he would deny the request. He said he wouldn’t cooperate. He chose his words carefully.

Well, post them when they come about or it's all pure speculation anyway ...

Anyone else notice that the same libs that claim here that pubs are dummies, that we get snookered by 'conspiracy sites', that we get 'grifted' by Trump.....are the same boneheads that charged as fast as they could into every 'TRUMP IS GOING TO JAIL!!!' thread on this board, convinced that he absolutely is.

As @Sunburnt Indian always tells us, why call someone stupid when you can sit back and let them profess it themselves?

Where is trump headed to again? 😂

The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head.

It is un-American.

The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent.

Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.

Boom!

Now, how will he accomplish not assisting? This will be interesting to watch.

Of course I am.

As much as I can't stand her, I wouldn't have been happy to see Hillary indicted over her destroying evidence after she was ordered to present said evidence.

In this country we don't imprison our political opposition. Well, that's the way it used to be anyway.
I would consider a personal favor if you would expound on this.

With all due respect, you may want to refrain from mocking the potential for violence from Trump’s lunatics. They may be delusional about many things, but their capacity for violence is not one of them.

It's probably fair to say that's true about people from both sides of the aisle friend.

Short of an airtight capital case (treason, murder, ect), I think you have to let it go. Is that equal protection under the law? No, it's damn near the opposite of that.

However, if you allow stuff like this, having the political opposition arrested will become a common occurrence in this country...and it never has been. I think that's a good thing. And if we're honest, MANY of our national politicians could have been indicted over just my lifetime.

A two-tier justice system sucks....but it sucks less than a banana republic where the ruling party arrests their opponents. JMO

I hear you but his position hints at the validity of the potential warrant. Governors are allowed to refuse extradition if the charging state doesn't provide a "valid" warrant.

I absolutely agree that this is a grey area and that DeSantis would be leaning on the thinnest of technicalities here...but it just might be doable.

All of that said, it might be entirely unnecessary. Trump may well choose to turn himself in.
