Mann, Locke, Glover Gone - Who's Next?

Said this on another string but worth noting here, Chris Beard goes to Texas. Sucks because that's the guy I was eyeing that would be great after we fire Mike White. Scott Stricklin missed on not pulling the trigger earlier.
Guy did a great job at Tech.

I'm trying to improve Socialist-U the same way that you're attempting to improve Gator B-Ball.

Scottie Lewis Declares for the NBA, Hiring an Agent. He's gone.

Steve Russell was talking on his radio show about all the players leaving and, of course, was rationalizing it all as not a big deal. But he did admit that the reasons for each kid leaving could tell us something. He said it's fully understandable that Mann is leaving because he's been almost guaranteed to get drafted, probably late first round. And if the guys entering the portal are doing it because they want to go somewhere they will get more playing time, he says that's fine. But if the reason they are leaving is that they don't feel like they're getting developed or no longer trust the coach or the direction of the program, that would be really bad. The optics right now are awful, I don't care how people try to spin it. And there are 2 more kids who haven't yet said whether or not they're returning.

Lewis will play in Europe or the G League but he he knows he will get developed there better than he would if he stayed and played for White. It’s actually a pretty good “basketball” decision by him.

Glover and Osifio leaving make total sense. They were going to never be more than role players. Payne is a bit of a head scratcher, but not a complete surprise. Noah was a shock. 3 year starter and significant contributor. Mann going pro makes sense. Scottie none. Hopefully Castleton comes back. We are running out of bodies.

You are downplaying the losses way too much imo. This team is heading for a bad season if they leave and he doesn't get some good transfers to come in and replace them.
Yep, and weren't you one of the twits that before this past season even began, was claiming that Mike wouldn't even make the Dance? If not, there were several other twits like you that were claiming so. They never seem to tire of being WRONG!!!

Now you start in the off season claiming that they are doomed for next season. Your VI fevered-brain drivel never ends apparently.

Mike White -- 3X CoY - Has been awarded a CoY in every conference he's been a HC in.
Coached his PG to the All Time Career Assist Record at LaTech, a 2-star he recruited.
Coached his PG to the All Time Career Assist Record at UF.
At UF/SEC, never a single losing season, overall or in conference.
Post season Tourney every year with never a One & Done.
Other Gator B-Ball HC's with all of those accomplishments = zero.

>>> Nobody denies those FACTS, they just gloss over them or completely disregard them and go right on with their own idiot opinions and speculations....

Sorry, but just championships are not the only coaching standards, but if Mike stays, then those will come eventually. Only one team HC wins the SEC each season, 13 don't.
Only one team wins the NC, while around 340 don't. Mike remains in the Top 10% in the nation.

What a know-nothing bum....
Nope, but he is being constantly dissed on by a pack of clueless entitled dweebs.
======

As to the entire team bailing out, that's total BS. IF chit didn't stink....
Some go, some stay, and new guys step up every year. Peek at a few:

SG Alex Klatsky 6-4 185 rsFr -- Go learn a little.
An elite shooter who can help stretch defenses.
Brings high-level winning experience both in high school and AAU.

SF Samson Ruzhentsev 6-7 192 Fr
Four-star prospect.
Long guard who can score at all three levels.

PG Jack May 6-4 175 Fr
Helped Saint Andrew’s to the 2020 3A state championship, getting a pair of key baskets and a steal in the final minutes of the game. Son of Dusty May, former LaTech and UF assistant, now HC a FAU.
Averaged 10.6 points per game as a senior.
Also ran cross country. -- So he doesn't tire easily.

CG Niels Lane 6-5 206 Fr
A career 1,000-point scorer and 2019 state champion.
Had 15 pts, 4 rbs and 3 asts in the state semifinal win vs. Gill.
Helped Roselle Catholic to a 22-7 record as a senior, earning a spot in the state championship game, which never took place due to the Scamdemic.
Posted a triple-double with 16 pts, 10 rbs and 10 ats vs. Summit..

#6 CG/SF Kowacle Reeves 6-7 180 *****- Natl. 25 -- Incoming signed recruit.
Pt/Gm 27.0, Ast/Gm 2.5, Reb/Gm 9.9, Stl/Gm 2.5, Blk/Gm 1.6
Other Top Offers - Bama, Ark, AU, TN, UGly, TX, VaT, N.C, Clem, Stan.

https://florida.rivals.com/news/gators-signee-kowacie-reeves-jr-earns-fifth-star

And Mike has been even better than Dan with his xfer-ins imo.....

And oh btw,,,,
Mann will be lucky to get NBA drafted and likely won't play if he does. Needed another year.
IF he's drafted, I see him on some teams practice/developmental squad. He's pretty good, but he ain't no Bradly Beal imo. For his sake, I hope he proves me incorrect...

IF Castleton goes Pro, it will be in EU, not the NBA.
He needs to put on 20-25 pounds (got pushed around), & he needs another year.

Locke I will miss, but not greatly due to his game to game shooting inconsistencies.
A guys that lives on being a shooter and gets shut-out in a game can't be depended on.

Payne with physical talent, but turned into an undisciplined problem child + lack of effort.
1st Year xfer Castleton pushed him aside like yesterday's newspaper.
Glover was good for a rest for the starting guards, but not much else.
Osifo, rated the #1 Juco PF, but turned out to be just another clumsy backup.
PF Duruni is 3X's better.

Be a solid part of the TEAM and a team player, or be elsewhere is fine with me.
And has anyone (portal) else other than NBA draft declared Mann actually left, or even gone into the portal yet, or is it just more entitled fan doom & gloom BS?

Taco, who's coaching those Gator players that keep on getting the awards, since White can't coach or develop players???? And why do the 4-5 stars keep on coming to UF? (crickets)

Do they have a socialist BLM B-Ball unit in EU to train him between his marches?
Reeves looks to be a better (person and player), and a good replacement for washout SL.
Locke I'll miss a little, but SL I won't miss at all.

Klatsky’s not any good. He’s just here because he is really good friends with Scottie Lewis. In fact now that Lewis is gone I wouldn’t be surprised if Klatsky left. Jack May is a walk-on and should never see the court at UF.

Much like 2-star, never a starter, HS backup Trask, huh....

Mike brought in a 2-star PG to LaTech 'Speedy' Smith and made him the All Time Assists Record holder with 858 career assists.

UF's 3-star Chiozza is the career assist record holder with 571 assists.
So, this proves beyond doubt that Mike can't coach a lick, and that Klatsky and May have no hopes of ever doing squat at UF, right?

It's good that you have speculations and opinions, cause you don't seem to bring anything more to the table than that as far as I can see. ;~)

So, has Klatsky left yet, or even said anything about doing so, or is that just more of your infamous speculations?

Wait a minute Insta, it was only about a month ago you were telling us how good all these players are...Glover, Payne, Lewis, Locke, Mann, etc and now your saying they really weren't that good? If May is playing significant minutes it means we will win 5-6 games.

that’s precisely what Insta always says. All coaches and players on UF teams are world beaters so long as they remain on the team. Once they’re fired or transfer to greener pastures, they become dog vomit, and were never worth chit

the notable exception was in regards to Trask..... all the UF QBs were chit, except for Trask

Now Insta is having a stiffy over Klatsky, a walk-on, by comparing him to Kyle Trask?

It's interesting that the guys who are leaving weren't all that good to begin with and the guys who are still on the roster (as of this morning) are great, yet they could barely get playing time over the bums who left. I'm confused.

In all honesty guys like Payne, Lewis, Osifo & Glover aren’t hard to replace. The more alarming thing is the sheer amount of transfers that we are having or have had in White’s tenure here. How come highly ranked players like Lewis and Payne haven’t been developed and why Osifo and Glover were even recruited to play at UF (not SEC caliber players)? Those are the issues of concern to me and of course I just don’t think White is a good X’s and O’s/Gameday coach and had a poor offensive and defensive system. The next concern is the NCAA and where college basketball is headed. The transfer portal for college basketball is looking worse and more populated than the football portal.

While STRAW-MAN BS, coupled with outright lies, is exactly what I'd expect from some of you VI twits.
To put it at your level;. I am rubber and you are glue....

2020-21 Roster = 15 - 13 Ships, 2 W-O's
3 are gone for sure (Mann-Lewis-Payne), with 3-4 more possible.

Departures for the NBA Draft:
CG Tre Mann -- Gonzo - panned out
SF Scottie Lewis -- Gonzo - washed out
-----
Testing NBA Draft, no Agent hired:
PF/C Colin Castleton - May return, (likely in iG's opinion)
===========

In Transfer-out Portal:

Omar Payne - 3.8 Pts/Gm, 3.2 Rbs/Gm - Illinois - Gonzo - washed out
-----
Still sitting in the Portal:
SG Noah Locke - I'd miss
PG Quez Glover - backup that wants more playing time
PF Osayi Osifo - backup that wants more playing time

Of those going or gone, I'll miss Mann.
If they end up going, I'll miss Locke & Castleton.
The others I'd just wave bye-bye to.
And that has little to do with their physical B-Ball talents.
It has to do with their actual production, but even more with their lack of a 'team 1st' attitude.
==========

The 1st 3 additions to the 2021-22 Roster:

SG Kowaice Reeves 6-6 180 ***** - signed incoming recruit.
2020-21 Per/Gm - 27.0 Pts, 9.9 Rbs, 3.7 3's, 2.5 Stl, 1.6 Blks

X-fer-in's:
PG Brandon McKissic 6-3 195 - UMiz-KC
2020-21 Per/Gm 17.2 Pts, 50.8 FG%, 3.7 Rbs, 3.3 Asts

PF CJ Felder 6-7 230 So - BC
2020-21 Per/Gm 9.7 Pts, 45.9 FG%, 5.9 Rbs, 0.9 Ast,

Looks like the roster/team is improving in the leaving-arriving balance.
And there is still room to add 3-4 more before next season.

Up Their Nose for the Mike White haters.... :~p)

Scott Stricklin addressed the 'noise in the system' Thursday on the local radio program Sportscene with Steve Russell. "Had really productive conversations. I think the world of Mike. I'm really excited about his future here. I think he's going to be the head coach of the Florida Gators for a long, long time. -- We've been one of 12 teams that have been in the NCAA Tournament each of the last 4 years. One of only 6 that has advanced in the tournament each of the last 4 years."

"This year Kentucky doesn't go to the NCAA Tournament. Duke, Louisville, Indiana don't go to the NCAA Tournament. And then a couple schools that we're used to seeing compete for the Final Four that got in: Michigan, North Carolina don't win a game in the NCAA Tournament."

PS
I know how much trouble some of you have with reading more than a couple of lines, so you short bus twits might want to just skip this in-depth article. Ignorance being your posting forte. Skipping this info will help keep you in character.....

FURTHERMORE....

Florida's projected back court for 2021-22:

PG Tyree Appleby 6-1 170 Sr

PG Brandon McKissic 6-3 195 Sr Grad-xfer
2020-21 Per/Gm 17.2 Pts, 50.8 FG%, 3.7 Rbs, 3.3 Asts
Finalist for the Lefty Driesell Natl. Def. PoY Award.

PG Jack May 6-4 175 rsFr

CG Niels Lane 6-5 206 So

SG Alex Klatsky 6-4 185 rsSo

2020-21 Per/Gm - 27.0 Pts, 9.9 Rbs, 3.7 3's, 2.5 Stl, 1.6 Blks

Already a total of 6 guards, 3 PG's, 1 CG, 2 SG's, with room to add others if needed.
So the back-court doom & gloom looks like more chicken-little BS to me....

If Scott Stricklin is excited about the direction of the Gator hoops program, I guess we're looking at Jeremy Fooley 2.0. Yes, Fooley.

Read the article for yourself. If it was MichSt instead of Mich, then it's their mistake.
I don't follow either to know for sure which it is.
Well I know Michigan won a game in the tournament in fact they made all the way to the elite 8.
