I hope he makes it but if he doesn't get things working and go 8-4 next season it might not work out. I dont think he can afford another 6-6 with a freshman QB and survive after the next year - year 3.
It doesnt matter who played QB today they wouldnt have stood a chance, Offensive line is terrible, play calling is terrible, talent level is terrible. Where do you start to fix the Florida Gators. Sad we have to kick a damn field goal to protect some streak. I dont blame the fans for booing cause it was comical as hell. I wish I really knew what Spurrier thought of the product that we are putting on the field.

Our on field play has been an absolute embarrassment. I hope this guy can recruit. Because I haven’t seen him do anything else well.
Agree. After that fake field goal everything fell apart. The play calling was atrocious, IMO, but we simply don't have the players to compete with a Top 20 team. We couldn't beat Vanderbilt and were overmatched today.
He better get a QB up to speed and look in the mirror some.

What i find strange (in a negative way) is Napier's refusal to bench Miller & look for a solution to our offensive problems.
He was that way all year with AR.

Watched my 13th Gators game today and still DID NOT see Maxine on the side line. I am really beginning to wonder if Brownie is ON the team. Maybe Brownie is the manager of our SEC Champion Volleyball team. I did see Engel for a brief moment handing Miller something to drink so he must make the Gatorade for the team.
Brown wouldn't be ready to play for 3-4 more years,,,,, under the current QB coaching....

I suspect, that since SOS has been around such a long time & has had to walk through the fire so many times, that, unless you knew him extremely well, all you would get is "Coach Speak."
But as the Ultimate Gator, I doubt he is very happy with this year's performance.
If there's anything that Spurrier sucks at, it's hiding his feelings.
Spurrier would have put in the 3rd string QB after that shameful first half performance. A lot of people have forgotten how Shane Mathews and Danny W became starters and all conference and Heisman Trophy winners. Playing players that you hope won't embarrass you is not a recipe for a successful program. Throw the next ones in line in there and let them have a chance to succeed. What an embarrassment Miller was.. I wish I really knew what Spurrier thought of the product that we are putting on the field.

I am holding out some hope there was a former players issue and it's year 1 only things. Some things do stick out though with how we lost some of these games.

Sorry guys but if you’re going to judge a coach with a boatload of players who abandon ship the way a lot of these guys did then Napier deserves better. What was he supposed to do? Run most of the team off and use walk ones? Just show a little patience.
We had little talent before all the opt outs, so not sure what anyone expected today. Kept it close, but the fake punt and the blocked punt opened the flood gates. We need trench guys desperately.
Trench guys, wide receivers, safeties, linebackers, etc., etc. It will take a lot of effort for us old guys to learn all the names of the new guys on the team next season. Going to be an interesting off season and it needs to be very, very active and productive if we're going to do any better in 2023.
I think you're probably right Ocala. From the 22 that started today my guess is roughly 8 or so will start next year.
No other team in the nation makes excuses regarding “talent” gaps like we do. Everybody else seems to absorb losses or work around them just fine, but not Florida…if. we lose one good player we are immediately non-competitive…
sadgator has had “patience” for like the last 13 years and past 4 coaching regimes…sadgator is tired of being bamboozled and being sold promises and optimism and catch phases and rationalizations…
You want to win sadgator over…put up or shut up…don’t blame the situation…if you need to scheme around lesser talent…figure out a way…
