You knew when it was 2nd and 22 we’d get an automatic first down penalty. It’s like these players want to make the mistakes.
As usual I don’t understand coach Toney’s approach game plan wise. How are we not crowding the box w 7-8 players and bringing pressure from the edge so the interior dline and pinch and clog up the middle? Stopping the run is the no brainer in this game.
That first down play we had 6 total guys within 5 yards of the LOS. Stack the box. They are going to run the ball.
If the color commentator screams the phase “JACKHAMMER!!!!!” one more time, sadgator is gonna put a bourbon bottle through his flat screen.

Yes but if you told me 10 at half I would have took that every time.
It's defense and penalties that are killing us not Miller. He had us down to the 30 yard line and we get 2 false starts that backs the kicker up too damn far and he misses. Jesse Palmer even said at halftime that Miller is playing just fine it's the rest of the team that needs to figure it out.
Did you think we were going to score a lot of points with a 3rd string QB?

Our 2 def ends take the easy way out. Rush upfield beyond the QB and run into one another. Just a disgustingly poorly coached defense.
It's a meaningless game with no QB but this sure looks like Muschamp 2.0 albeit with no defense. Sad.

I have seen enough today and the spring game Miller doesn't have it. I see why Kitna moved in front of him.
This defensive staff is absolutely clueless. You can say all you want about players, recruiting, opt outs, etc. schematically this staff is middle school level.
Hopefully the boosters will be willing to buy a 1 year QB or it's not going to be good next season.
