It only doesn’t make sense to you.
Laws are not followed by lawbreakers, by definition. So if you make a law that makes Fent illegal, every user is by definition a criminal (even before they snort/shoot/smoke it). And clearly it isn’t slowing down deaths caused by the substance.
Ergo, you make a law that makes it harder to obtain a firearm and guess who has access to smaller and fewer firearms. Guess who can still get whatever they want.
The only hope, given the hundreds of millions of guns in the US and the fact they’re built to work properly for centuries, is to make it as easy as possible for law abiding citizens to protect themselves from criminals…and to punish criminals who commit crimes with guns extremely harshly.
Your proposal makes law abiding citizens less able to protect themselves, and makes it easier for criminals to commit crimes with guns.
Why would you do that?

How many guns do law abiding citizens need to fully protect themselves from criminals?
Say, a criminal breaks in your front door, how many guns do you need?
As many as I want, and I’m certainly not going to let you or some gov’t bureaucrat that doesn’t know that there’s no such thing as an “assault rifle” make that decision.
And someone breaking into my front door isn’t the only thing I potentially need protection from.

It’s difficult to put an exact number on it. Different types of firearms do different things well.
Add in variances in ammo types and it’s a “how long is a piece of string” question.
Regardless, it’s not for you to say. And as a law abiding citizen it shouldn’t matter how many I have. My guns only threaten criminals.
And once again, you’re losing the argument on basic logic so you revert to one of your standard questions.
So, if you were limited to 5 guns, you don’t think you could adequately protect your family?

The Constitution says you can have all the guns you want.
Limiting his ability to buy guns would also be limited his ability to protect his family.
You still need to get over your terror of an inanimate object.
Again, protecting my family isn’t the sole reason for owning firearms.
So no, I’m not going to put a limit on it.
What difference does it make? Am I a threat to you if I had 300 guns? 3000?

1 - You gun nuts need to understand that owning a gun does NOT make you a man!
2 - You gun nuts need to understand that you do NOT need that many guns!
He's terrified of an inanimate object and wants everyone else to adjust their behavior to accommodate his mania.

The reason you want to own a gun/guns should supersede all other criteria.

What you really want is unlimited gun sales. No restrictions on the market. Correct?

So, the way you see the Constitution, you think there should no restrictions on how much of their product the gun industry can sell, correct?
I can have all the opinion I want on guns. So can you.
But when it comes to the Constitution, our gun rights are clear, and not up to debate.

I recognize that some people are ignorant AF and that certain states are operating under that general principle, but I have a hard time believing that you could murder an on-duty firefighter and get out of jail for $500 anywhere in the US.
This thug should be tried and convicted and thent sent to general population in prison
The kid needs to be punished, but so do the ones standing around laughing, filming and posting it online IMO.
