No, it isn't. I have no idea if he has the authority to remove them after he leaves office but the VP is authorized to possess TS classified documents.

When Hilary Clinton was proven to have mishandled top secret documents by the thousands but not prosecuted because she "didn't intend harm", that created a loophole the size of an Olympic swimming pool that anyone can leap through.
I don't believe any criminal punishment will come from this.
Course, that means they can prosecute Trump either.

I think they raided Trump because he had a lot of documents on the Russia Hoax stuff that he even announced he was declassifying and the bastards refused to do the official process as he was leaving and they used that to get them back. The USSC in a couple of rulings has alluded to the POTUS having the full authority on that stuff and that process wouldnt be part of whether he declassified something or not. I also say you could technically find a few classified marked things somewhere on any POTUS that left office in recent history.

There was a 18 month period before he ran again that he had no SS protection. He was an ordinary citizen with unsecured TS intel in his garage (amongst other places).

Time for an investigation. Elections have consequences.
I think the special counsel's REAL job is to find any incriminating evidence against the Hidens and destroy it. My guess is they've caught wind of something being out there, and this guy will be the 'fixer' to go and find everything and keep it from being discovered.
Plus, if anything new comes out, the government can just deflect to 'that's why we have a Special Counsel looking into this, we can't answer questions about an ongoing investigation' etc etc.
