WoW! Don't be late,,,, 2.0 (2020)

#46 RB Marvin Scott 5-9 203 *** - Port Orange, FL (20 offers)
Offers: UA-UK-SCa-Tn--FSU-Mia-UCF-USF--Mich-Neb-NC-VaT-WVa
Scott is not armed with an offer from UF just yet, but he had the opportunity to showcase his skills at Florida’s Elite One Day Camp last Saturday, so we'll see... o_O

Scott, has been piling up offers lately, and there will be plenty of competition in landing the 5-foot-9, 203-pound back, who is fast and extremely strong. He’s so strong, in fact, that he won the Class 2A state weightlifting title in the 199-pound weight class Friday night with a total lift of 700 pounds, which included a 405-pound bench press, helping Spruce Creek to the state team title.

You could have 20 top 10 classes and you'll still be giving up 40 to Kansas. OU= flag football.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Oooozzzzziie

Choke-la-homo got Rattler in the 2019 class.
UGly looks to get Beck in the 2020 class.

I wouldn't trade Richardson for either of them, but that's me...
Remember, I'm the guy that wouldn't trade Dan for Satan....

2017 Baker Mayfield - - :(
2018 Kyler Murray - - :(

3 Heisman pretender QB, combined for ZERO Choke-la-homo NC's. -

1966 Steve Spurrier - College Football HoF, both as a player and as the HBC.
Only Heisman winner, to ever coach another Heisman winner.

1996 Danny Wuerffel - 4 SEC-C's, NC

2006 Leak/Tebow NC
2007 Tim Tebow Heisman - 1st Soph to ever win a Heisman.
Shattered the NCAA 20/20 TD barrier, (R-23 - P 32 = 55 TD's)
2008 Tim Tebow NC

At Choke-la-homo, there's Heisman pretenders in the No-Defense passing Conf.

At UF, there's Heisman NC's going against the best defenses (SEC) in the nation. o_O

Unlike the choker QB's, Richardson will have a chance to win both a Heisman and a NC. :p

#11 OLB Derek Wingo 6-2 210 **** 165/247 - Ft Lauderdale, FL STA

Flips from the ole LB-U PSU to the Gators. Why?
1. Depth chart possible to play early.
2. Hot vs Freezing ass cold...
3. The coaching staff.
4. Close to home (4 hrs) for weekends, and family-friends to games.

Now that Wingo is committed to Florida, who is he recruiting to join him with the Gators?

Henry Gray, Demarkcus Bowman, he’s going to flip from Clemson, Avantae Williams the safety, and there are a couple others. Basically, those are the Florida guys, kind of represent the state, stay home. Florida has a great opportunity to play at the next level.” -- iG crosses fingers on those 3...

#45 OG Righard Leonard 6-2 320 *** Cocoa, FL (info lifted from 247) ;)
Florida takes 247Sports Crystal Ball lead for in-state OL.
(sure hope they got that Crystal Ball all cleaned up and polished)

His listed finalist, with his commit scheduled for this Friday:
UF--UK-TN--FSU-Mia-UCF-GaT --- A former UK commit, another 3* with 26 offers.
(C-B has it UF 75%, UK 12%, FSU 12%, Others 1%)

it was an offer from the Gators in late May followed by an unofficial visit in early June that started to get things trending towards the Orange and Blue.
"I like the camaraderie and the brotherhood the players all have together and how hard they all work with the strength and conditioning coaches and seeing their hard work pay off for them,"
Leonard said after that unofficial visit to The Swamp.
Note: CGJ and Wannie (both drafted to NFL) were from Cocoa too.
And another solid recruiting pipeline is established...

Is this another one preparing to flip to the Gators/Dan?
(not projected to re-commit until sometime in the Fall)

#8 OT Issiah Walker Jr 6-4 302 **** 72/247 - Miami, FL - 247Sports
He de-commits this week from SCa while at the 'Opening' in Tx.

"I've met so many wonderful coaches, players, and future teammates along this journey here at the Opening. Being out here in Texas has made me realize I haven't found my true home yet!! With that being said, I am officially de-committing from the University of S. Carolina. I am opening up my recruiting."

He's leaning towards UF - FSU - Mia, with UF being the longest held offer. "Florida is always high on me and they were always high on my list and that hasn't changed," Walker Jr. said. "t's just the school and the culture, it's all very very good. Coach Hevesy knows what he's talking about and I see when he and Coach Mullen got here, everything started going right."

What talent they manage to bs into the dust-bowl, brought in ZERO NC's since 2000. - :p

They recruit Heisman pretenders that do well in what's left of a passing (no defense) has-been conference. Perfect situation for the supreme Chokers of D1 football.

The only bigger has-beens are the media-moron propped up pretenders in Indiana, the Neutered Lame with their drunk Irish domer-homer fans. :D

BTW, can you list all of the NC teams and their number of NC's, that the Big12-10-whaterver has produced in the last 40 years for us. Show us all how important your guys are to D1 college football...
==========

A huge loss to the Gator's 2020 class has happened....

#23 Ath Jaheim Bell 6-2 213 *** - 374 Natl - Valdosta, Ga.

Roster depth at positions and others coming in the 2020 class might have just been to much for him to compete with, so as he asks, I'll certainly 'respect his decision' to de-commit and reopen his recruiting to find a place where he might fit in better....
"A man's got to know his limitations." - Dirty Harry

Oh BTW, since he was only a 3 star, this raised up the average quality rating (3.58) for the overall class...
FYI -- 4. tOSU 3.47 -- #5 Mich 3.57 -- #6 scUM 3.43

UF drops down a little to the #9 class, but still the #4 SEC class and still in the Top 10.
19. Choke-la-homo - 3.54
25. Tennis-sea - 3.50

Now, enough with the chokers BS,,, back to the important & interesting stuff... ;)

"People are competing,'' Zuniga said. "It's competition everywhere. People are also paying more attention to the little things, like touching the line and finishing through [in drills]. I feel like the mentality of the whole team is really coming around."

While waiting to talk to a couple of veteran players, I had to do a double-take when freshman offensive lineman Ethan White walked by. White was listed at 6-5 390 when he arrived on campus in January as an early enrollee. He has easily shed more than 50 pounds over the past six months while toning muscle. RT Jean Delance is another player who passes the eye test physically. -- iG "It's work to play time." :)

Riley Coyote strikes Again :p:cool:

Breaking: Sooners win Red River recruiting battle; land elite DB

So 'liar Riley Coyote' got,,,
#15 S Bryson Washington 6-2 195, 198/247 - Houston, TX

Now, apparently in the dust-bowl, a #15 safety than barely breaks into the Top 200 recruits, is considered an 'Elite' recruit.

Dan did offer him, but since 247 reports that Dan already has 8 on roster with 2 'hard' commits in this class, I can see why Bryson might not want to have to compete for his playing time at DB-U. Add in he's from next-door Texazz and the chokers make even more sense for him.
But props to the Coyote for at least being about to out lie Texazz for him. o_O

Blue chipper? Yeah, but 'Elite,' not hardly. And he just went from being a possible Gator, to just more dust-bowl choker gatorbait...

He boosted the chokers class up to #12, still not even a Top 10 class, while the SEC has 5 of the Top 10 rated classes. :p

I'm surprised Nail isn't here to update us on them losing another defensive commit LMAO. At this rate they'll be able to hold teams to 30 per game by 2025.

All this stuff is meaningless at this point but don't go running as soon as you lose a commit if you're gonna talk trash and show up here when we lose one.

Gervon Dexter is wayyyyyy under ranked. He is pretty damn good!

Why should anyone G-a-S about individual recruit rankings or stars of the various (money making / biased) services, given the LARGE variance between them in their rankings???

I sure like the looks of this young man, fierce! (E-#51 - 247 #45)

R-#39 OG/OC Richie Leonard IV 6-2 320 *** (25 offers) - committed
Finalists: UF - TN-UK-FSU - Dan flipped a previous UK commit.
Named the Offensive Line 'MVP of the Opening' in Orlando.

Does everyone, or anyone, agree with his 3 star (MVP) rating by the services?
Or did the Gator coaches know a true blue-chipper when they saw one? o_O

Hunchback?

Did that happen when he got ran over by all those 2019 signees who bolted ?

( what a dumbazz. You NEVER let dullards sign if there is a question as to whether they can get in. You wait to sign them until they PROVE they can make the grades. Sign them and they count toward the 85 limit for a year. Even when they can't set foot through the front door)

Actually they don’t. But facts and all.

Sorry, but the reason that they nailed-your-head-to-da-flor, is because of your oft demonstrated stupidity. I waste none of my time with your team or your recruits. I've been in choke-la-homo a couple of times, and I've found that the best place in that state is the geographic center... That way, no matter which direction you go, YOU'RE LEAVING... o_O

The one good memory that I have concerning the dust-bowl is this one:
UF 24 - 14 Chokers --- for the 2008 National Championship. :p
Chokers held to -40 pts under their Pts/Gm average by the SEC's #3 defense...

(side note for the mouth foamer Mad-Dog-dollie, UF 47 - 21 Tennis-sea)

Riley will continue to struggle to win anything of significance until he puts a defense on the field or recruits better defensively. He’s done neither.

I think that the Riley Coyote's recruiting is suffering from his lying to recruits.

He told the 5 star AZ HS QB that he was not looking to take any xfer QB's in 2019.
After Rattler signed his LOI with the Coyote, then Riley brought in Hurts as a transfer QB to start for the 2019 season. The 'lyin' Riley Coyote' is still trying to put his pants out, before the flames get to the dumpster...

But hey nailed-head, how come you never mentioned this about Rattler?

Pinnacle QB Spencer Rattler ruled ineligible for rest of season after violating school policy.

No prob-blem-mo, he should fit right in at chokerville with you and the coyote...

How is Dan's 2020 class shaping up according to ESPN Recruiting?

Deffense (9)

#5 DT Dexter 6-6 280
#6 DE/Buck Powell 6-2 215
#15 DT Brown 6-3 255
#44 DT Goods 6-3 295

#14 Ath/CB Rogers 6-0 170
#17 Ath/LB Wingo 6-2 210

#22 SS/Star Torrence II 6-0 192
#35 CB Helm 6-1 180
#81 CB TV Johnson 5-10 175

==========

Offense (9)

#6 QB-dt Richardson 6-4 235 4.5/40 @ Elite-11

#10 WR Manuel 6-4 205
#19 WR Fraziars 6-4 205
#19 TE-Y Odom 6-4 240
#47 WR Johnson 6-6 210
#74 WR Graham 5-9 170

#51 OG Leonard 6-2 330
#70 OT Mincey 6-4 335
#117 OG Janvier 6-3 353
===================

What I'd (iG) like Gator recruits to be minimum ranked at position

QB's Top 10's
RB's Top 15's
TE's Top 20's
WR's Top 50's
OL Top 70's
==========
DE's Top 10's
DT's Top 15's
CB's Top 20's
S's Top 25's
LB's Top 30's

But I see the above as very loose, because of the very wide span of rankings by the various services.
I'll trust the Gator coaches and my own lyin' eyes over them every time...
Just like I'll go with their number of Power-5 offers over the composite ranking.
When the spread is 5-7-10, then the composite is usable.
But when the spread is from 22 to 114, then the composite is mostly useless.
JMOHO's as always....

Why offer a few select HS recruits that might be qualifier risks?
When Mullen was the OC at UF for the 2006 NC, UF 41 - 14 tOSU.
(~ Mullen comes back as the HC in 2018 and it's, UF 41 - 15 Mich)

FS Reggie Nelson 2006 NC, then Jags, Bengals, Raiders
After graduating from Palm Bay High School in 2003, Nelson and Pirates teammate Joe Cohen chose to attend the University of Florida over rival FSUcks. He attended Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kan. first, red-shirting his Fr year, and then earned his AA-degree and transferred to UF as a sophomore to play for coach Urban Meyer's Florida Gators football team in 2005 and 2006. Nelson was an immediate sophomore starter for the Gators at FS in 2005.

WR Dallas Baker 2006 NC -- Then the Steelers 07-08-09, then CFL & Arena
Baker accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the UF and played for coach Ron Zook and coach Urban Meyer's Florida Gators football teams from 2003 to 2006. He originally signed to play for the Gators in February 2001 as a member of what would become HBC Spurrier's final recruiting class at UF, but due to NCAA academic eligibility issues, Baker instead enrolled at Northfield Mount Hermon School, an elite preparatory school in Mass, for one year. While at Mt. Hermon, Baker led his team to the New England Championship game. While also attending NMH. After Spurrier left UF for the NFL and Zook was hired to replace him, Baker stuck with Florida and enrolled as a partial-qualifier in 2002.

That's why you take a chance on an ILB Black and OG Hammond.
Those 2 were the ONLY non-qualifiers in the 2019 class.
They'll both very likely be back in the near future to help UF work to get another NC.
* Both WR's that were also marginal risks made it in. Dionte Marks and Arjei Henderson.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida commitment #5 ILB Derek Wingo 6-1 215 4.7/40 of St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has been named to the 2019 Dick Butkus High School Award Watch list.

The Butkus High School Award has been given since 2008. The Butkus Award was originally created in 1985. It was expanded to honor linebackers at all three levels - high school, collegiate and professionally - in 2008. The Butkus Award is presented by the Butkus Foundation.

According to MaxPreps.com, Wingo had 34 tackles as a junior, including 12 tackles for a loss. He also turned in six sacks, as well as recovering a fumble and blocking a punt.
