What’s the charge?

First - he was clear what he wanted - he issued a public statement telling us. Eastman’s read - as well as others - was that the President of the Senate had plenary powers and could send the contested electors back to their states to resolve their conflicts. It’s actually happened before and you know what - after the 10 day period was up the reconvened and the EC votes were counted. It’s procedural, not some crazy overthrow of the govt. Messy? Sure. Treason? Not even close. It’s constitutional interpretation.

I agree that Trump should have spoken out earlier but these people were rioting in the Capitol. It’s not like a twitter notification would pop up and everyone would check their phones and go home. People were and still are, really mad about election irregularities.

You do know the initial breach happened while Trump was still talking right - that the breachers never went to the speech? How does that equate to incitement?

You do know that a bunch of unarmed people went into the Capitol to “overthrow” the government of the most powerful country in the world, right? How does that equate to a planned insurrection? They just forget the guns and bombs? One person was shot, and it wasn’t a cop.

Why are there dozens of unindicted co-conspirators? Ray Epps is on film the night before telling a group that they “must enter the Capitol tomorrow”. The Trumpers started chanting “fed” at him. The next day he’s at the front gate and whispers in the ear seconds before the first rioter breaches. He’s not been arrested. Why?

It was a terrible day. It shouldn’t have happened, the National Guard should have been there. But it’s not what you think it is, you’ve been duped.

The Stalinist show trial with no representation from the other side, no cross examination and they’ve already been caught doctoring evidence is a complete sham. Try to do some research.
