The hand stuff was pretty funny. I think DeSantis just finally stopped doing that due to these videos going around. The pushback on the Covid stuff was because for about a month the DeSantis team was on social media trying to rewrite his history on the vaccine and restrictions to act like he was better than Trump on that stuff when he loved the stuff at first actually.

All the correct people dislike Trump. All the wrong people support DeSantis.

I remain on The Trump Train! I don’t dislike DeSantis - we need a proven outsider & anti-Deep State POTUS!

We don’t need George W. Bush 2.0 - that would be a disaster!

It's settled...DeSantis won 14 to 12. Credit to Trump, but he missed the 2 point conversion.

Now we can move on to more important things.

🤣 This post did make me think about what Baris said he was finding when he did some limited survey with Rep voters on a Trump-DeSantis matchup a while back. He said Trump had a majority of the pre-Gen X vote locked down pretty good and had a majority of the Gen X vote (42 to 59 or so I think - somewhere near those age ranges). He said Trump's weakest point against DeSantis was the Reps in their 60s and above and I think he called it the "anti-mean tweets" segment of the Reps.

I'm 78 and I call that B.S. Most of us have already lived most of our lives and endured much more than "mean tweets". We Geezers will vote for the person most qualified to lead our country and the rest be damned. I worry more about the young who tend to change their minds every day by believing every media post they read. I believe very little of what I read because most posters and/or reporters have some sort of agenda.

Just telling you what he said. He said most of the Rep vote DeSantis was getting was from older people that said Trump's style turned them off. He said some of the GEN X answered that way also but nothing like the 60+ age group.

That makes perfect sense. People over 60 were brought up during a time when wasn't acceptable to be a trash talking jackass.

Obviously, younger generations were taught differently.

Trump's style is what it is, he's always been that way and will never change. I like both Trump and DeSantis. As of today my vote goes to DeSantis. That could change. I hope DeSantis runs because Trump needs to be challenged. I know Trump will campaign ugly because that's what he does. That doesn't matter to me but he does need to recapture some of the moderates and independents he has lost or he will never win the general. And yes I know it may not be possible for any republican to again win the presidency but one must hold out hope.

'Mean tweets' is an oversimplification. Trump repeatedly shows disrespect for American citizens he should be leading.

He's got some great ideas but he's a well established ass. Most people don't find that desirable in their leaders.

THIS is why I choose Trump over DeSantis...but if Ron wins....I will be OK with it.

Trump got at least 74M votes - the most ever by a POTUS. China Joe probably got around 60M
I truly believe you are over 10 million too high. More like 45-50 million. Remember...if Clyburn would not have pulled the rug out from Sanders on super Tuesday....they would have elected an avowed COMMUNIST to represent their party. Sanders had Biden BEAT.

Very good, accurate post. I am 61, and do not let ANYONE sway my opinions. Some of the bed wetters here will vote for DeSantis because they think Trump is to mean. They vote of PERSONALITY...not PERFORMANCE. Little Theo is trying unsuccessfully to make a case to vote DeSantis because if we do not, Brandon will win. TOTAL BS. I will vote for who I think will make America GREAT...for EVERYONE. Iwill give any democrat another chance..right here and now to list EVERYTHING that is better today in America under Brandon, than it was under Trump. (They NEVER, EVER respond to this...I wonder why?)

PERSONALITY over PERFORMANCE...LOLOL just admit that whether or not you like someone is more important than their ability to lead the Country. you say it almost EVERY day. This is notorious for very soft people!

Trump can’t do anything if he can’t get elected.

I hope that he is smarter than this. I believe if he gets dirty with DeSantis( uncalled for name calling, not calling DeSantis out for their differences) he does not have a chance...and I PREFER Trump because I have seen what his policies do for America.

I'm on the dark side of 60 and I'm sick of playing nice in the sandbox with the commies. Trump's a little too generously soft on them in my opinion.

Absolutely not. Crist was desperate...he slung as much mud as he could. Not even in the hopes that he could win the election, there was no chance of that, rather to simply attempt to damage DeSantis on his way to the governors mansion.

DeSantis' job in that last debate was to simply do no harm and remain disciplined. That's what he did.
I can't remember what question @jfegaly posted from that debate, but DeSantis absolutely had no answer. I haven't seen that deer caught in the headlights look since Mike Shula's introductory PC at Bama.

I think it was when Crist asked him to confirm that he would NOT run for President in 2024 if re-elected.

LOL, DeSantis isn't a closeted Democrat. That's as ridiculous as people claiming that Trump was Putin's puppet.
He's certainly best buds and speaking fondly of a lot of closeted democrats.

How do you square that with your claim that it's ridiculous to think that DeSantis is of the same mindset as the people he looks up to?

What is seriously scary is that the limp wristed crack/meth head damned near won the first time. Florida has seriously flipped from purple to ruby red. People are waking up, and I don't mean woke.
Gillum coming that close is still unsettling.

But I gotta give him credit.....he was the perfect democrat candidate. A perverted, minority druggie.
