IMHO Trump is spending political capital unnecessarily again. History will be the judge and it's entirely possible that I'm wrong.
using talking points that the Democrats used on Paul Ryan and Mittens in 2012 will not work with the GOP conservative base because they are absolutely absurd. Trump needs to stay on message and attack the deep state, RATS and RINOS, and focus on all his excellent policies….if he does that,no one will beat him. DeSantis is not the enemy and is the future of the GOP.
Trump is undisciplined. His followers apparently find it endearing.

Disagree. What Trump is doing here is dropping a hammer on DeSantis and his establishment backed campaign. Despite DeSantis starting to use that huge war chest on PAC commercials made to appear he is above the fray Trump is effectively painting him as what his background and his campaign setup shows he is. He will be drawing very little MAGA vote outside FL the more Trump does this. Good luck to him trying to win without that.

He knows his base support and is effectively exposing what DeSantis is doing and his background. Trump would have been in real danger early if he didn't get on top of the plan that team DeSantis/Bush/Ryan and Ken Griffin are trying to execute. He has blown up their above the fray strategy. My guess is DeSantis will look silly on a debate stage with Trump once those things are brought up.
If DeSantis throws his hat into the ring, will the debates weaken or strengthen the GOP brand? I don't know.
The difference is....DeSantis knows enough not to intentionally trigger half of the people he needs to get elected. Trump acts like an immature ass and, while his hardcore supporters eat it up, many traditionally conservative voters don't.

For people that don't know this is the woman that is running most of DeSantis campaign setup and is his PR person for his Governor job. She scrubbed all this after people started posting it but she is why you hear all the Soros-DeSantis jokes because she actually worked in one of the George Soros setups in Ukraine back when all the former turmoil was going on. Here she is with that crook Zelensky Soros and our CIA etc. helped get into office in Ukraine. My guess is when he officially announces she won't be given the title of campaign manager due to this. DeSantis has all these shady establishment people running his show. It's why they planned the Disney thing and bussing the migrants to try and break some MAGA support off from Trump.

It could also backfire. It's a long haul until the primaries. If people get sick of it, it could cost him.
I personally don't think it's a great idea at this point for him to be doing what he is doing. But I freely admit that I might be wrong.
I never thought that he could win in 2016. In fact I said, "he's unelectable" when he won the Republican nomination. I stated that we had given away the general when it happened.

They are all over the place except Fox which is assisting him. CNN just released a fake poll with some unknown joke outfit claiming they are tied. My guess is the donors paid for that and got CNN to stamp their name on it. Looks like we are going to get some fake push polls like we did with Cruz in 2016.

Absolutely not. Crist was desperate...he slung as much mud as he could. Not even in the hopes that he could win the election, there was no chance of that, rather to simply attempt to damage DeSantis on his way to the governors mansion.
DeSantis' job in that last debate was to simply do no harm and remain disciplined. That's what he did.
FNC will go after Trump, and promote DeSantis. Paul Ryan and the establishment is pulling these strings. And I am not sure it is because they love DeSantis, and he has agreed to be their puppet. While you're absolutely correct, I would be nose holding like I did with McCain if he turns out to be establishment. Which I think might be Ghosts point, he's tired of voting for the lesser evil.

McCain started my disgust with the republican party. It was the only election in which I didn't vote. Very weak candidate.
