Let me try to put my point into smaller words and shorter sentences for you....and take any and all references to specific politicians out of it.
The rule of law either matters or it doesn't. If it matters it is applied equally and fairly, ignoring all outside factors (race, gender, political ideology, etc).
I believe in the rule of law. If a politician breaks the law he or she should be punished fairly and justly. If it isn't fair and just, then the entire system breaks down and we're China, North Korea, etc.
Does that make sense?
