Strong faith by itself isn't enough to get into Heaven either. Just like works alone won't get you into Heaven.
I think the faith alone will get you to Heaven. That faith can't just be words, God knows your heart. If that's what you mean, agree.

Do you know the parable of the prodigal son? (Of course you don't because it's in the bible.) Anyway, the son leaves with his inheritance, squanders it and reaches a point where he was eating the pigs food. Now according to your thought process of being kind and generous and trying to do a good deed, accepting everything with kindness would have rescued that man from the pig pen. But your kindness was contrary to what God had in store for him. He had to feel the depravity of his situation without rescue from another person. Otherwise, he would have never recognized his demise and gone back to his father who accepted him with open arms. God let's us waller around in a pig pen to get our attention. We were not meant to just have peace and joy and happiness in this life. We have an eternity in heaven for that. We are meant to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness even if that leads us to a pig pen.
True you have great numbers but it is well known that many so-called Christians and what we deem good people will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
