McCarthy is definitely flawed, but hopefully with the concessions the Freedom Caucus gained in this whole process we will (hopefully) have a better more effective Congress.
It sure looks like McCarthy blinked. We'll find out soon enough, Gaetz will probably run straight to the first camera he finds and blab LOL
If my sidepiece Jenna is correct, it sounds like the FC can call for a vote to remove McCarthy at any time, and McCarthy will need 218 votes to STAY as speaker.
So basically as long as McCarthy keeps his promises, he keeps his job. If so, I like it.
BTW some are speculating that what triggered the vote changing was they were waiting for midnight. Don't see the significance, but it was right around midnight.

Read an article from Jan 2nd that claimed that McCarthy was open to the motion to vacate, but he was offering it taking FIVE members to call for the motion.
Since they got it down to one, I am going to assume that's what triggered the vote until I can find out better info lol
