NIT, here we come

No need for a shot clock when Hudson and Egor are on the floor.
So much truth to this comment. Both are gunners and play literally zero defense. Not that impressed with these 2 guys to be honest. Not really “team” players.

Igor is a pretty good rebounder, but I generally agree with your statement. Don't know why Igor is the one giving so many quotes to the press after the games. To me he hasn't earned the right to be a team spokesman.

Nobody wants to admit it, but you don’t have to be a team player sometimes if you’re beast.

What you can’t do incredibly hot and cold and think that you can just shoot yourself or if everything so screw he rest of he team.

His name is Egor.

I said it in the beginning of the year. I believe there are some team chemistry issues and it stems from Egor/Hudson & Allen/Chiozza.

Here. In his same thread back on December 20th.
Confirmed. And I think you made a good point then and it seems to be increasingly valid. And Igor/Egor, MJ, what difference does it make? Sounds the same when you say it. He still shouldn't be the team's spokesman, IMO. Hasn't earned the right regardless of how he spells his name. And in a few weeks he'll be gone from the program and will be forgotten in a very short time.

Wrong side of the bubble. Need 4 to 5 wins.

Hard to say what will happen if we don't finish strong. Last year was a soft bubble and Vandy got in with like 14 losses but they had an RPI in the lower 40s I think and some nice late wins. I think we do have enough good wins to get the nod if its close. We better not drop to the high 50s in RPI or that might be an issue even with our nice wins.

NBC has us a 7 seed right now. CBS has us a 10 seed right now.

It wasnt pretty but we got the W tonight and ended the skid. 7-4 in the conference now. Im sticking with 11 wins as the magic number.

Oh, you men are all alike. Seven or eight quick ones and then you’re out with the boys to boast and brag.

Close to a must win today. Getting to 11 wins against a tough, but not overwhelming, schedule is a pretty fair test. A tournament team should be able to do it.

Looking good today. South Carolina played out of their ass the 1st game. They can't hit anything today. Any more news on Egbunu?

Mike White must have really put the clamps on the 3s and told these guys drive the ball and get it inside, period. Team has responded so far. Huge win today. Would have been really tough without this game.

This game shows how good this team CAN be when they play hard, unselfishly and together. Been very inconsistent in all respects this year, but the potential is there.

I'm marking UGA down as a W right now. If we can't beat UGA at home at this point in the season, then GTFO. Then we've got to find 2 wins on the road at Vandy, UT and 'Bama and at home vs. Auburn and UK. Vandy's probably the only game we'll be favorites out of that group, but UT and the home games are all doable.

Egbunu doesn’t make trip

Senior center John Egbunu did not make the trip to South Carolina and remains out indefinitely while rehabbing from surgery to repair a torn ACL.

The Gators opted not to have the 6-foot-11, 265-pound Egbunu with them because his knee swells up when he travels. Last week, Egbunu’s knee swelled up when trying to progress from non-contact to limited contact workouts.

Freshman forward Chase Johnson (concussion protocol) and freshman center Isaiah Stokes (rehabbing ACL surgery) also remain out.

That's tough news. Even if one of more of these guys is cleared to play, I'm wondering what kind of game shape they would be in, how rusty their skill sets would be and how it would affect the chemistry and rotation now in place? The later it gets, I think the less likely getting any of these guys available would be a net plus. I know we are deficient in the paint, but the South Carolina game showed what the group we now is is capable of when they play with maximum effort.

I miss good ol Gator numbers.

I keep pulling up this basketball thread and expect to see him post the longest run on sentence. Talking about how horrible we are after a loss. Going bananas and bizark...

Then after a win talk about how polished we are and the great chemistry of the team.

Hope he is doing well.
