So I just read her explainer.
One of the J6 defendants who was charged with a subsection of the Sarbanes-Oxley act (this was the law passed after the Enron scandal) what was aimed at preventing business executives from destroying evidence to prevent it being used in court is having his appeal heard by SCOTUS.
The Jackboot Smith overreach is an extremely broad reading of "corruptly interfering with an official proceeding" clause 1512(c)(2).
The first problem is in order to prove "corruption" they have to PROVE that Robertson was specifically in the Capitol for 20 mins to stop the counting of EC votes. THEN they have to prove that the counting of said votes qualifies under this sub-clause as an "official proceeding" (vs a ceremonial act). Both are going to be really hard to pass by the Supreme Court in all likelihood.
If SCOTUS rules in favor of the defendant every single J6'er charged under 1512(c)(2) will have a slam dunk appeal unless they were violent or committed other crimes. This includes Trump, which will end over 1/2 of Jack Smith's case.
It appears the entire sham is likely to completely fall apart, all because one J6 defendant wouldn't stop fighting these tyrants.
Yep that charge is gone and anyone serving a sentence for that released once they likely rule it doesn't apply.

I don't think it'll be that easy. I'd assume they'd have to file an appeal and have the case heard, but the precedent will be undeniable.
And this will only work for defendants who were sentenced only for a conviction on that charge. Anyone who got violent or damaged property could at best see sentences reduced.
I think most of the longer sentencing was for that and in FL at least someone is released pretty quickly if the charge is ruled invalid by a higher court and they have nothing else to hold them on. Not sure the mechanics of it but it may be as easy as the higher court having the order sent to the lower courts.
Your evading the issue again. If Biden and the democrats are stupid, how do they control all those things that effect your life? How did they outsmart Trump to win the last election? Both things can't be true.

The Dems are a unified front vs a fragmented conservative "enemy". The very nature of the two movements is why we're here. Conservatives are more libertarian, "leave me alone and I'll leave you alone" types who focus on personal responsibility, faith and family.
Liberals are big-government totalitarians. Their faith is in their gov't and its leaders. They believe people like Fauci and Obama are smarter than everyone else, good to their core and should be believed implicitly. Because they all follow the mantra of "gov't is the answer" they are much more organized and in lockstep w/each other.
A long time ago the dems decided to focus on the ground game and local elections. School boards, municipal gov't, teachers and college professors (who have always leaned left) etc are often dominated by the Left.
They own the schools who raise the next generation. Socialism doesn't work if you don't have the kids. So that's academia.
Pop culture and the media happened by catering to the elite. Media moguls know that when socialism kicks in, you better be on the side of the gov't or you're screwed. Who is rich in communist countries like Venezuela, Cuba and China? So that's big media.
Big tech is no different, and it's easier because it ground swelled out of highly liberal states and academic institutions...and the Zuckerburgs of the world know the same thing media moguls do...you better pick the right side long term. So there's big tech.
Courts are appointment problems...the liberal activist judges are raised in leftist academia and feel they must remain loyal to judicial activism and "make a difference". So that's the court system, at least part of it.
And no one outsmarted anyone in the last election. If a burglar comes in and takes all of your stuff at gunpoint, was he smart? We know exactly how the election was stolen.
Not to interrupt but the illegal voting is happening in Georgia whereas the Fraud case where Trump overrated his stuff is happening in New York. This shou;d be pretty easy to not conflate the two. I mean real estate fraud vs voter fraud or New York vs Georgia they are both far apart.

I voted for him twice and will again if he runs against a democrat but a big part of the President's job is leading people. He failed that miserably (except for the Trumper segment of the republicans).

If Trump will just do these things we can always find a good leader such as Jesus Christ to follow.
