They have not had him for awhileHuge loss for UVa. Their site says he's lost 20 pounds from it.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
• Virginia boasts the nation’s stingiest scoring defense, surrendering just 56.1 points per game. Only one regular season opponent (Clemson) reached 70 points in regulation against the Cavaliers.
• The Cavaliers’ pace of play ranks slowest in the nation at 59 possessions per game, according to KenPom. That limits opponents’ scoring opportunities, as Virginia only allows its foes to take 48.2 field goal attempts per game, fewest in the nation.
• London Perrantes leads Virginia in scoring at 12.9 points per game and has a team-best 125 assists.
• Like Florida, Virginia is a KenPom top-10 team as UF is rated eighth and Virginia ninth.
No no no...you didn't watch the game...literally one offensive scorer until half...marginal play from Hill...and Chiozza saved the day.
If two of Hayes, Allen, or Barry don't start knocking down shots in Saturday, there is no way we'll win. That said, it was fun.
NO BEER OR ALCOHOL SOLD IN AMWAY...so beware on Saturday night folks.

===========
The Gators were 1-10 on 3's in the first half, and Hill had the ONLY made 3.
Hill scored 14 pts, while leading scorers Allen and Barry scored 14 pts combined.
Hayes only set a new UF record in an NCAA Tourney game with 6 Steals.
---------
As far as VA's sick forward, PF Stone scored 16 and 17 pts in games before the viral infection took him out for the rest of the season, and losing Egbunu to an ACL is a bit bigger than Va losing a forward to mono.
When the Gators don't make their 3's, they can lost to anyone.
When they make their average 3's they have a chance against anyone.
When they are HOT on their 3's, they can beat a UK by 22 pts.
Against VA, we'll see which Gator team shows up ready to play.
Since Wilkins was a more important and efficient player ( statistically) for Virginia than Egbunu was for UF, and losing Eg a month ago allows for the coaches, and team to adjust, I disagree. Wilkins played about 25% more min/gm, had 55 % FG to Egbunu 49%, had 69% FT to 57%, had 6.2 reb/gm to 6.6 had 7.1pts/gm to 7.7 and 36 assist to 7, 32 stls to 8 , 1.4 blks to 1.5/gm. fewer TO and PF as well. UF is higher scoring team so Wilkins 7.1 contribution was greater. Notwithstanding the stats, the timing is a difference maker. This will hurt UVa.
Passive aggressive nole fan.So Egbunu scored more, rebounded more and blocked more shots playing 3/4 of the minutes? The point is that it's basically a wash and you should quit crying about it.
Passive aggressive nole fan.
If we win, NBD, cause UVA had a player missing. If we lose, omg we suck because UVA had a player missing
Snarky, insecure UF fan. If you can't assail the facts.... assail the messenger. Bless your little heart.
Arkansas wins it.
SEC is 2-1 so far.
Can you play on your own board? Or are you too dim to figure that out?Snarky, insecure UF fan. If you can't assail the facts.... assail the messenger. Bless your little heart.
SEC is 4-1Looks like easy wins for UK and USCjr as well. I thought Thornwell was a little overrated, but he is balling out in this game.

I am going to guess the later
Why are you so much more emotionally invested in UF than FSU?
What about the facts that Egbunu scores more rebounds more and blocks more shots in less minutes?
That's an odd and incorrect assumption. Posting here somehow negates posting on FSU sites? Not mutually exclusive actually.
I love Thornwell. Last year and this year I have been impressed with his all around game. Wish we had him.Looks like easy wins for UK and USCjr as well. I thought Thornwell was a little overrated, but he is balling out in this game.
A tight whistle might favor us, as long as it is for both teams. UVA does not play the kid of offense that gets them to the FT line a lot, but they do play an aggressive, physical defense that puts their opponents on the line. Not dissimilar to the way USCe played us the first time. Or the way Vandy playsHope the refs let them play today and not blow a whistle at every little touch. Pressing Virginia could work, but they are always a methodical, fundamentally sound team that doesn't run the ball over much and makes you pay for your mistakes. Would really love to see the guys make the Sweet 16.
Couple of shots of bourbon can help with that.I don't do well watching the Good Guys play teams that like to take every game to the final possession. I'm probably gonna need to fire up the defibrillator as a precaution for this one.
More damn gray hairs. smh
