March Madness

can he do the opposite of that HS kid that scored 93 points and just stay on one end of the court, except just defense and always be back so there's no run outs

Kasey Hill did show up in one place recently that I can think of: the all SEC second team and the all SEC defensive team. But that's just the league coaches voting. They probably don't have access to MJ's proprietary metrics for analyzing hoops (ball go in = good; ball no go in = bad).

Your inability to actually comprehend the King's English is quite amazing.

With all the criticism of Kasey's performance on this board, and there is a lot, mine is probably the most balanced. Yet for some reason you go bat shit crazy of mine alone. I must be like a Libertarian to you and your Social Justice Warrior mentality.

My criticism of Hill has rarely been about his scoring, save when he takes ill advised shots. My criticism of Hill has been primarily with is turnovers, his inconsistency in dishing assists and his inconsistency at the FT line. When he gets hot, he can be a good scorer. And he is a great defender. In fact, his defense is the only consistent part of his game.

If you are to be critical of me, at least get it right.

Your continued criticism of Hill (what is measured about a post, during his best game of the season at Auburn, reminding everyone that he was terrible against aTm?) is all in defense of your post from last year, when you said that Hill was the reason the team was struggling. My response then, same as now, is that Hill is a limited player on a team full of them.

I respond to your posts, because I think it's unfair to perpetuate this false narrative, that Hill is a negative to this team, based on what is obviously a limited understanding of the game. Your criticism of his "inconsistency in dishing assists" is case in point. He's second in the SEC in assists per game! What are you talking about? You were probably criticizing his two assists against Vandy, without even thinking about the fact that the team shot 33 percent for the game. Assists require a shot to go in. You criticize the result, without thinking about the steps that lead to that result.

All I can say is that Mike White puts the ball in Hill's hands more than any other player. And the league coaches voted him second team all-SEC. Do you think think that they are all wrong and you are right? Or do you think they see something you don't?

Are you seriously.fracking.butthurt over something I posted....LAST YEAR? About a player?

Good grief man. If message board banter affects you this way for this long, you might consider doing something else for entertainment.

The "trust the coaches" one is always tricky.

A player getting a lot of time doesn't always mean he's good, and on top of that, coaches aren't always right.

We see that all the time.

Yep. Kasey has a better upside than Chiozza in scoring and defense. Hill is out there because White think he has a better chance to do well than to screw up.

The last two games? White was wrong.

I agree about the vandy game... my main beef with his is I just simply expect more out of a senior guard when it's time to put the team on your back, not even so much do i expect him to be taurean or scottie or even close as clutch as they were, but i expect something more positive at the end of games and important possessions from a four year player rated as high as he was... I think we can all agree he is the opposite of clutch, and quite awful actually and ends up hurting the team when we look to him for big possessions that result in winning or losing. His FT's for a four year player guard is just bad, when we put the ball in his hands at the end of games he never comes through... that's what angers me about him, he hurts us when it's time to put up or shut up... and he's shut down about every single time and does something stupid, the end of the vanderbilt game into OT was just treacherous by him and directly led to us losing and getting hammered blow out style in OT.. all the way to the end with fouling and getting dunked on.. A team just simply has to have more than he can give this time of year as a senior at Point Guard or we start looking somewhere else with the last shots because we are going to have the situation happen again very soon when the game is on the line.. I don't want anyone but Allen having it for the last shot first, Barry normally after that if he's healthy, or Devin because of his length and being able to get a tough shot off or going to the basket hard... he makes that lay up with that hard take at the end of last game with the foul and we win...We have zero post scoring, like probably the worst in the nation zero level, when does anyone ever catch the ball down there turn around and make a basket or even come close? I can't even remember the last hook above the white circle that we made, and we miss every lay up on fouls that should not be that hard to make go down... They all miss FAR and WAY too many bunnies... Kasey the most

Hill made some great contested shots. But as usual, you do not want him with the ball at the end of a half. Two turnovers inside the last minute.

Allen was just awful shooting the ball the first half, yet we lead by one. He is 0-5.

I don't recall many game where he goes off in the second half after he has a poor first half. I seem to remember that if he is in a bad funk in the first half, it carries over the the second. I hope I am wrong. We are going to need his scoring. Hill will not have many of those prayers answered in the second half. And Barry needs to focus on receiving the pass.

That foul call on d-rob was unbelievable. That couldn't have been more clear all-ball if you slow it down and watch it in hd, and it was three feet from the ref. D-rob keep carrying us!

D Rob is making my heart go pitty pat today

Is anyone else terrified of this team nailing a barrage of 3's in the last few minutes to give us a heart attack? I feel like they have it in them because they've banked one in and had a few ugly shots carem in

Allen is 1-8... plz God no don't do this

Going to the rim is the reason for the free throw discrepancy. Just wondering if 46885 or what ever the numbers are is seeing that now. Great job Gators. Go SEC.

The problem I had with the UK/Florida game was the waY the Gs were allowed to play vs Florida in the first half.

yea, because this is the first game ever the Gators have gone to the basket

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzz

Thanks goodness for Hayes. This is a single digit lead if not for his block. We are starting to go into a slow down offense. Too early for that
