In before the gun confiscation NUTS.....

When I'm faced with complex problems involving life and death, I always wonder, what does Ted Nugent think?

Think of this for a moment, you look to Ted Nugent as a source of knowledge based totally on him being an outspoken gun advocate. Ted Nugent. That's hilarious.
Just tying to help educate the dumb, son.....

They all have one thing in common with Theo, all Trump haters.

I get it. I really do. Guns are manly. Pickups too, right? Rare steak. Pitbulls? What else?
You still focus on the gun.

What's feminine is being scared of an inanimate object.

Is it manly to see a roach running across the kitchen floor and scream and leap up on the island?

The behavior is feminine. Stop being a sissy.

The old tried and true liberal tactic - when you can’t win an argument on the merits you attack the source.

Thanks a lot for the Ted Nugent wisdom. Do you have anything from Axl Rose or Sammy Hagar?
Dude you have been getting dragged on this issue for weeks.

People new to thread have no clue what your position is, other than guns scare you. You have zero solid logical arguments on this issue.

It’s a little rich when you go after anyone.

Seriously? Is there a pickup truck in the room making you feel uncomfortable? Do you do ANYTHING outdoors? Tow a boat? An ATV requiring a trailer? Need a truck bed to carry manly things like construction materials, generators, landscape products, or something as sissy as purchasing a new gas grill? Should we rename you and MDFer as the Tessie cousins?

Again, I realize that some people truly need a truck.

I wish I could have solid logical arguments like......guns don't hurt anyone and there are millions of DGUs every year.

NO...son...just post ANY FACTS where a gun hurt someone. SERIOUSLY...I will admit I was wrong if you can. BUT YOU CANNOT!! So please quit trying to make up "facts" Either chit...or get off of the toilet, son!

He CANNOT hide the democrat roots in his blood. They use this tactic, and have for EVER. When a lefty starts losing an argument.....here it comes...."RACIST" . It is EXACTLY what Theo does. I challenge ANYONE to show me in ANY post he has ever made...a factual argument. You can't

He can't discuss the issue because if we have an honest discussion about the issue, that will include solutions that actually address the problem.

@GatorTheo is only wanting to address guns. The funny thing is, you have @goldmom cackling about Russell and I being paid to promote Trump, but she whiffs on noticing no one here is acting more like a paid operative than Theo does toward attacking guns. Then she turns around and claims OTHER posters are too slow to see what's really happening here.

Triggered senior citizens rocking on the front porch. Bless em....
I totally understand your position. An 'honest discussion' would be a group of gun nuts taking turns parroting gun company talking points.

You totally understand my position because you put anyone that you think you would disagree with about guns into your 'gun nut' bucket. As you just proved, that's your coping mechanism for trying to avoid a conversation that you aren't mature enough to handle.

That's not true. There are people all over the political who would disagree with one thing or another. Gun nuts are special. Their minds are laser focused on defending guns at every turn. If you make up some positive statement about guns, no matter how ridiculous, they will totally believe it.

Sadly, you cannot see you are doing the very thing you claim we are. You are laser-focused on the inanimate object known as a gun. If someone makes any negative statement about a gun, no matter how ridiculous, you will totally believe it.

You claimed that guns cause problems. What are they?

'Conservatives' don't attack the source?

Think about that then laugh at yourself.
We may call a source out, but the content is the central focal point. If you point out that CNN is biased and then specifically explain why, that's more impactful than dismissing what they say because it's coming from CNN.

You have no point, you have no policy proscriptions, you have no details...all you're doing is repeating the same losing arguments over and over and attacking the source, calling people names, etc.

It's what happens when someone is arguing from an irrational and emotional position...you know, like a bleeding heart liberal does on nearly every single issue.

I think we have all settled on your own estimate of 100k DGU's a year. Nearly 4X the number of homicides committed with guns.

And the inanimate object argument is extremely logical...and it's one you have no refutation of other than emotionally attacking it.

Good. We've made a breakthru.

So you admit those numbers are correct?

So there are 4 defensive gun uses for every 1 gun homicide committed?

Sounds like you are making the case for lawful gun ownership better than we are. In the words of Johnny Cash "the man comes around'.
I haven't specifically analyzed what 100K/year means. I just know it's much more realistic that 1M/year.

I'd imagine most gun crimes are not homicides, right?

Well 100k was the number you gave us and all you said was you thought it was more reasonable than 1M a year.

But now we are talking ratios. So for every 1 gun homicides, there is 4 defensive gun uses.

Ok, what happens if we take those guns away from lawful gun owners?

The number of defensive gun uses decreases, and the number of gun homicides increases, obviously. This is why we keep trying to get you to understand that focusing on the gun makes the gun violence problem WORSE, not better.

Did I at any time suggest totally disarming lawful gun owners? If you're a responsible person and you feel the need to be armed for protection, I'm totally fine with it.

There's no point in trying to answer your question. I understand you don't think guns can hurt anyone because they're inanimate.
So you aren't interested in having an actual discussion, you just want to call anyone that disagrees with you a 'gun nut'. Then add that they are the ones that can't see any belief but their own.

You made the claim that guns cause problems. I just asked you to explain what you think they are.

I just know how it's going to go.

I'll list some number of innocent people killed by gunfire.

You're response will be that guns didn't do that because they are inanimate.

You gun cult friends will then pat you on the back for straightening me out with the 'facts'.

Did I miss something?

Not the gun. The person who shot the guns problem. When Alec Baldwin shot his fellow actress...was it the guns fault? Game. Set. MATCH. Go outside and practice falling down.

Gun crimes?

In the state of Florida possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony is a sentence enhancement.

You'd have to parse what you mean specifically, as a gun crime can be anything from unlawful possession of a firearm by a prohibited person to brandishing.

You seem very flexible in your beliefs.

In some I'm entirely flexible while in others I'm less flexible. In still others, the vast minority, I'm entirely inflexible.

I'm certainly more flexible than you are. I fully believe that you don't recognize it but at times you go out of your way to miss a point in order to not concede it.
