Trump is a populist, DeSantis is a conservative. Many Trump voters overlap the most with Bernie Sanders supporters on the Venn Diagram, which is why he won in 2016, especially in the rust belt Midwest swing states that had been big Union manufacturing and blue collar Democrat voters in the past. If the establishment Democrats didn't rip off Sanders with the nomination, I think he would have done better vs Trump than KillHillBill Clinton crime family did in 2016 because the average Joe six pack vote, especially in decaying rust belt Union swing States would have been split between Trump and Sanders instead of Trump getting most of those votes over Hillary.

Dubya and Trump stood on the shoulders of their daddies, not their fault, just fortunate for them. DeSantis earned his way through life since he was a kid with hard work, principles, morals, values, and no nonsense and no shenanigans. Who do you think financial and social conservatives that grew up poor and were motivated to be self made in life, like myself, choose? Trump did well for my financial conservative side but he comes up short compared to DeSantis for my social conservative side. Trump has a mostly positive track record as President in my life and is open and transparent with his views, which I love. Not being a Florida resident my life has not had a track record with DeSantis as Governor or US House Rep so I don't know the details and impacts living under DeSantis as a Florida resident would. DeSantis does have the edge over Trump as a wholesome family man. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit is what I base my vote on first and foremost with my personal finances/taxes being second most important. This is why I currently have DeSantis 1a and Trump 1b for my vote, subject to change. It has to be one of those two for our country's sake. I like Scott's humble Bible based upbringing from Gullah Geechee lowcountry South Carolina, similar to Clarence Thomas's Bible based Gullah Geechee upbringing down the road in coastal Georgia. Many prophets and Christian leaders are claiming that God has told them He will do great things through Trump. One said God told him 'Trump will save you from things that you don't know you need saving from'.
I haven't heard a single one of them make any similar claims about DeSantis. Or anyone else for that matter.

I appreciate and understand your point. He fits closer to what is important to you. I do live in Floorida and LOVE DeSantis as our Governor...however he has hitched his horse to the people who try to control us, that are truly not much better than democrats.
Also, when people mention how Trump was as a President, they never mention that he was under attack 100 times more than any President in our Nations history...from within. What could he have accomplished without the media, social media, FBI, DOJ, CIA and the NSA not trying their best to ruin his Presidency? He STILL did a wonderful job....ESPECIALLY under those circumstances.
Lastly...one day, people need to comprehend WHY they do not want Trump winning. The media, social media, big tech, the cabal all try to convince everyone he is a liar and a criminal. TOTAL lies.
