These movements of zero bail are as much about not wanting to spend money on jails (not prisons, pre-sentencing detention facilities) as they are about anything else.
Reasonable bail is included within the 8th amendment. If the 8th guarantees reasonable bail, reasonable people can assume that bail itself is not unconstitutional.

They're winning. That is the stark reality. Lack of space within pre-sentencing detention facilities is an epidemic.
And it's not just the violent criminals...though they are clearly a priority. People who commit property crimes or other "lesser" offenses are in and out of jail so quickly because if you don't release them, you'll quickly run out of space to house them.
In some ways this is clearly inaccurate. Why? Because many of the new arrests are the same people over and over again. So while an average county jail might see 10,000 arrests per year, 3,500 of them, or more, might be the same people over and over and over again.
I know of a county jail that had more than twice that many arrests last year. Over half of them were arrested at least twice within the previous 365 days.
In jurisdictions where no or low bail is really pushed, I guarantee you that these numbers are far worse.
Exit numbers were going up in Kalifornia ordered by the Fed when I got off the road in early 2002. I used to do business before reaching Exit 2B at the Etiwanda Exit from the east. Moving on north to Gay Bay I watched workers plant the familiar mile posts. Kalifornia used white mile posts and numbered by county. When I entered Texas from Louisiana on I-10 the first mile post I saw in Texas was MILE 880, telling me I had to drive 880 miles to reach the New Mexico line on I-10.
The Los Angeles Exit 2B tells me I'm a couple miles from LA's western edge. When I did business in LA, there were no exit numbers.

Gurkhas are under employment by the British government. I would bet on the gurkhas. I studied gurkha war training while on an isolated tour at Goose AB , Labrador. While a member of the USAF, I did British MI-6 training. A candidate must live in a chamber for 30 days without a chambermaid ever knowing. I can still do it.

You can study all you want to. Hand to hand nobody, not SAS, not gurkas not DevGru not Speznats not anyone short of immortals or superheroes is winning an unarmed melee battle 50 to 10.
You very likely are not considering the number among the 50 who would run away.
I really don't know that they would have time to form up. It would look more like this imo.
