2019 recruiting class pointing to major recruiting problems?

Funniest part is Florida is outrecruiting Georgia since Fever started claiming Mullen had crappy recruiting. There may be a method to his madness.

Yep we just have like 11 blue chippers to go (including a couple of 5 stars) to catch them if they don't get anymore this class but I guess that would be funny to a Bama fan.

2019 LB verbals so far: So I can agree on the coming class.

Ath/OLB Diwun Black 6-4 230 - Forest, MS (247-#3 ILB - E-#4 OLB ****)

It's past August 1st.

Doesn't mean anything.

Haha. Last month some 3-star picked a directional school from Louisiana over Florida, and Fever was basically live-posting his announcement throughout the day.

This month, Florida has landed a trio of 4-star Rivals 250 players, and Fever was AWOL for each one.

Fever may just jinx Mullen into the #1 class at this rate

Anybody else read the newest commit’s last name as diabetes? Or is that just me?

--Georgia placed a league-leading 12 representatives on the 2018 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Football Team, the SEC announced Thursday. Alabama was second with 10 representatives, while Auburn had nine.

But I thought we lost all of our talent to the NFL?

A Gator talking trash.:eek::D
Well hasn’t UF owned UGA for as long as you have been a fan? Hasn’t UF won more national titles than UGA for as long as you have been a fan? So what exactly are you trying to do here exactly?

Maybe you should go over to the Tennessee board but hell they have even won a national title more recently than UGA.

Alabama fans are not concerned with Georgia, they have owned them since Saban arrived.

Georgia fans are not concerned with Florida, yet you are on a Florida Gators message board. Difference is that you haven't owned us on the field. You lost to us with McElwain as our head coach. McElwain won two straight SEC East titles, Missouri won two straight before that. Take that information in for a second.

New sheriff in town son. We might beat you turds 10 years in a row with the kang at the helm!

Well the new sheriff choked

Once Tua came in the rout was on. Kirby was never good at making halftime adjustments, that's why Saban put Pruitt in charge of the defense at halftime of the 2015 NC game, only reason we won.

If Saban started Tua, we win 30-0. I'm worried about what Jimbo is building at A&M, but no one is worried about Kirby. If all you needed was great recruits to win, Mike Dubose and Ron Zook would still be in the SEC.

Hahahahahahaha Ya Kirby’s halftime adjustments during the Rose Bowl were awful. You continue to show that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I guess I should of expected that from a Bammer.

Oklahoma ain't Alabama, Sparky.

In the 2015 season Bama's defense began utilizing a 'Rabbits' LB package. It was a special package built to take advantage of the speed of Rashan Evans and Deshawn Hand, both SO backups.

As Bama was preparing for Clemson and how to stop Deshaun Watson, Kirby, the DC, decided that Bama's young players weren't ready to face Watson, so he nixed the idea of using the Rabbits against Clemson. At halftime, Watson and Clemson were giving Bama's base defense fits, and it was clear that a change had to be made.

Saban went to Kirby and asked him about putting in the Rabbits. Kirby said no, the youngsters weren't ready to face Watson. Pruitt said bullsh*t, let the kids play.

Saban overruled his DC, and listened to Pruitt. Hand and Evans had a field day in the 2nd half, Evans in particular dominated Watson.

That's what won us the NC in 2015, Saban being smart enough not to listen to Kirby.

I feel like I heard this story before.... hmm oh yeah it was after you beat us in '07. You guys went on to humiliate Hawaii in the Sugar, no title still. You started the next year at #1 I believe ,and we crushed you. Difference is we won the title, so until you actually win the title I will hold off on respecting your shiny badge.

Richt is gone man! Kang Kirb will be the most hated coach by you guys until he retires.

This "Kang Kirby" stuff is weird and awkward.

It doesn't even make sense. King Kirby makes more sense. Hell, Kirby Kong even sounds better (that combines two Nintendo characters AND Kong can translate to King).

Is that you Bobbi? Old name BamaGSR12? Just as clueless as always!

Kind of my point, you likely praised him after '07. He was the man with the Midas touch, until he couldn't finish the job. Kirby didn't finish the job last year, yet you are already saying he is the man to dethrone Saban.

I don't know if he is, too small of a sample size. One great year doesn't make a legend, that would be true even if he had won the title.

I get it though, you are excited about the flashes he has shown. I would too if he was the Gator coach. I wouldn't claim Saban or Alabama are worried about his storm brewing. That is where I disagree with you, he is not the new sheriff yet. He is just on the ballot box, the sheriff is Saban until proven otherwise.

Pretty much all of this.

I know we're dealing with a massive Georgia homer and he won't consider or understand any of this, but....

Kirby took over as Bama's DC in 2008.

In 2009, we won the NC, and Kirby's defense was the strength of the team.

In 2011, we won the NC, and Kirby's defense was incredible, one of the best in program history.

In 2012, we won the NC, and Kirby again had one of the best defenses in the country.

From 2008-2014, Kirby had a great run as Bama's DC. Over 7 years, he coached on a staff that won 3 NCs, and his defenses were always among the Top 10 in the nation, several times they were Top 5.

And every offseason, we Bama fans heard the same thing: Someone's gonna get Kirby! Every offseason, he was listed among the most eligible candidates to get a head coaching job.

But he never did. In fact, no team before Georgia showed even the slightest interest in hiring him.

Think about that for a second: Kirby was a DC for the team that had won 4 NCs, mostly because of the strength of Kirby's defenses.......and yet he couldn't buy a call from any open jobs come the offseason.

That's telling. Even if you say he was waiting for the Georgia job to open up....that doesn't stop other jobs from pursuing him, and it appears that no one did.

Maybe they all made a mistake, or maybe they all saw something that Georgia missed. Only time will tell.
