In years past, we would have a few suspensions. Are we expecting any for tomorrow?

The only thing I am going to say about the release of the depth chart is this....do not get caught up in guys listed as starters. Yes, most of that is accurate, maybe all of it. However, all you need to do is see who is starting in the 4th Quarter - that will be your real depth chart....when the game is on the line who is out there playing....I have been told we should see 7-8 playing on Saturday just on the OL alone.

Leaving early af for Gainesville from tn in the morn. Maps is rerouting me due to a wildfire in Georgia. Anybody got any info on this? The suggested route is damn near 12hrs opposed to under 10. I don’t want to gamble on the fire route and it be a disaster.

The Gators’ .301 hitting percentage was led by sophomore Kennedy Martin’s 25 kills.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The No. 11 Florida volleyball team opened the 2024 season with a 3-1 win (25-21, 25-21, 24-26, 25-11) over Colorado State Friday night inside a packed Moby Arena of 7,500 fans.

The Gators tallied 53 kills and hit a .301, as the Martin duo - Kennedy Martin and Isabel Martin - registered a combined 36. Kennedy lead the way with 25 kills for a .568 clip (25-4-37) to become the first Florida player since Jenny Whitehead in 1999 to record 25 kills in a season opener. Isabel Martin finished with 11 kills to register a .429 clip (11-2-21) in her Gator debut.

Freshman Taylor Parks captained Florida’s offense tonight, dishing out 44 assists while recording four digs, three aces and three kills in her first collegiate match.

A force at the net, UF totaled 12 team blocks and held the Rams to a .174 hitting percentage. Freshman Jaela Auguste and K. Martin both posted a team-high five blocks, while Alec Rothe added two solo blocks to the stats sheet.

Leading the backcourt defense, Libero Elli McKissock finished with 10 digs in her final season opener. Emily Canaan registered nine digs, while I. Martin (6), K. Martin (5), Taylor Parks (4), AC Fitzpatrick (3) and Emerson Houle (2) contributed in the fourth-setter.

Florida’s aggressive serving was rewarded with eight aces, with five Gators tallying at least one ace in Friday’s win. Taylor Parks lead the way with three, while I. Martin followed with two.

Three Gators posted strong performances on the penultimate day in Lima.

LIMA, Peru - Day four of World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima saw three Gators compete, including incoming Freshman Jaden Wiley, who snagged the Gators' second top-five finish of these U20 championships.

Wiley's 21.17 time in the Men's 200m secured the fifth-place finish in the event's final. The U.S. U20 100m and 200m champion is now bound for Gainesville as he looks to make waves in the college ranks for his Freshman campaign.

The other Gator with a top-five performance in Lima, Gracelyn Leiseth, narrowly missed another trip to an event final in today's Shot put qualifiers, placing 13th in the field. Her 14.42m throw came just three centimeters short of the necessary 12th-place finish. Leiseth now turns her eyes back to the upcoming season in Gainesville, where she looks to recreate the success that led her to the NCAA Outdoor Championship meet in her freshman campaign.

Vance Nilsson posted an exceptional 49.82 time in the Semifinal of the Men's 400m Hurdles, securing him a spot in tomorrow's final. The star freshman will take to the track again tomorrow at 5:45 p.m. ET, as he looks to secure the first podium spot for a Gator representative at the U20 championships.

SEC Nation Returns to Gainesville for Week 3 Game vs. Texas A&M



GAINESVILLE, Fla. – SEC Network announced Friday that its weekly traveling show, SEC Nation, presented by Regions Bank, will return to Gainesville at the Plaza of the Americas, as the Gators welcome Texas A&M in the Swamp on Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m.

SEC Nation returns to college football tailgates, stadiums and sidelines this fall, and will regularly follow the site of the 3:30 p.m. SEC on ABC showdown. Florida graduate Laura Rutledge will host the show for her eighth season, her ninth on the show overall, joined by Gator great Tim Tebow, Paul Finebaum, Jordan Rodgers and Roman Harper.

It all begins on Friday at the Plaza of the Americas with The Paul Finebaum Show. Fans are encouraged to arrive before the show goes live at 3 p.m. On Saturday for SEC Nation at 9 a.m., fans can show up early to secure a spot at the front for a chance to meet the talent, be on TV and win giveaways.

The University of Florida has hosted SEC Nation 12 times previously, including seven times in Gainesville, since the show first aired in 2014. The show will begin the season in Gainesville on Aug. 31 this year when the Gators host No. 19 Miami in the Swamp.



Florida's upcoming 13th time playing host ranks the Gators with the second-most host appearances on SEC Nation.

Both the Men's and Women's teams secured second-place finishes in the UCF Invite to open the 2024 Cross Country schedule.

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Gators opened the 2024 Cross Country campaign with a strong showing at the UCF Invite. The Men (5k race) took a second-place team finish with 50 points, and the Women (5k race) also placed second with 51 points to start the season off right.

Breanna Stuart was Florida's top finisher in the women's race, claiming third with a 18:17.9 time. Freshman Ashley Fitzgerald broke into the top-10 in her collegiate debut, securing an 18:17.9 time.
Ashley Klingenberg, Christiana Coleman, and Kate Drummond rounded out Florida's scoring.

The Men's race saw Emerson Miller score eight team points with his 11th place finish and 15:30.0 time. All five of the Gators' scorers cracked the top-20 finishers, as Michael Fiore (12th), Alejandro Pena (16th), Riley Novak (17) and Aidan Villasuso (18) secured a second-place team finish.

The Gators' next race is set for September 27 when the Gators travel to Colombia Missouri for the Gans Creek Classic.

Campus Access
The following restrictions go into effect three hours prior to kickoff.

* If you are trying to access Gale Lemerand Drive north of Museum Road, you will need a parking pass starting four hours before the game.
* Fans should also be aware that Fletcher Drive is no longer a two-way street. Turning south from University Avenue is not permitted.
* Starting three hours prior to kickoff, no vehicular traffic will be allowed until the end of the game on the following roads:
* West University Avenue between Gale Lemerand Drive to NW 17th Street.
* Gale Lemerand Drive between University Avenue and Stadium Road
* Stadium Road from Gale Lemerand Drive and Fletcher Drive

Staying Cool & Hydrated
The environment at the Swamp can provide a unique advantage on the field. But in the stands, it is important for fans to remain cool and hydrated.

Fans can bring one commercially produced (ex. Aquafina) empty plastic water bottle (max 20 oz) and fill up at the several filling stations inside the stadium.

Family Restrooms are for those fans with small children and guests with disabilities, and are located on the West side of the Stadium inside the Gate 2 corridor between sections 6 and 8, and behind section 15. Prior to kickoff and before entering the Stadium, fans may utilize the restrooms inside the main atrium of Exactech Arena at Stephen C. O'Connell Center.

Nursing Suites are available for nursing mothers or women bottle-feeding children, and are located between Gates 15 and 16. Parents can access the Nursing Suite 90 minutes prior to kickoff, in line with regular stadium entry, and the suite will close 20 minutes after the conclusion of a game.

Baby Changing Stations are located in various restrooms throughout Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

* South End Zone: Gate 18 (Men's)
* East Side: Section 36 (Women's) & Section 40 (Men's)

In-Game Experience and Traditions

UF Marching Band
Arrive early and stay in your seats at halftime, so you don't miss a special 'Motown' tribute performance by the University of Florida's Fightin' Gator Marching Band.

Honorary Two Bits
Join in one of the Swamp's most iconic moments prior to kickoff with the Celebrity "Mr. Two Bits" cheer. The season opening Mr. Two Bits will be announced game week.
I Won't Back Down
Florida Gators fans honor Gainesville, Florida, native Tom Petty in between the third and fourth quarters by singing "I Won't Back Down," one of the late artist's biggest hits. The song first played on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, against the LSU Tigers in which 90,000 fans sang along.

Honorary Two Bits
