You are correct. It’s nothing to brag about, for anyone. Now if you win the SEC that’s something to hang your hat on, but somehow certain folks have tried to start saying conference titles don’t count. Sure they do. But when someone from a school that didn’t win it starts telling another schools fans they didn’t win anything, well that’s just kinda dumb.
Auburn brags about winning divisional titles too. The two programs (and fanbases) are more alike than they are different.
And you really don't think you set yourself up for that by proclaiming yourselves a superteam? Recruiting champions of the world?
When your motto is national title or bust, and you go bust, don't be surprised when people tell you that you are a bust.
But what do you see written by Gator fans about their own team? That it's amazing to win 11 games 2 years after winning 4. That recruiting is picking up. That Mullen has us trending in the right direction. Does that sound like national title or bust?
Here's the thing. If fleas were less arrogant pricks in the Spring, you would get made fun of less in the Fall. One of you, just once, should try saying "the offense is in a state of flux, I think we will take a step back, maybe 9-3 unless we can get past either UF or Auburn." If you all posted things like that, then when it happened, it would be fine. Or if it went better, you could be surprised in a good way. But when everybody is claiming you are going to beat us by 4 touchdowns and have all the pieces to win the whole thing, then you beat us by the skin of your teeth and get sandblasted by LSU, showing you are nowhere near as good as you think you are, then you are gonna hear about it.

Also amusing that Dye is the only person outside of Georgia that pushed to hire Kirbs while he was still at Bama. And everyone else at Auburn shot that down immediately.
Malzahn has an SEC title, SEC title game appearance, and a national title game appearance too. Kirby does have a NY6 bowl win that Gus does not. Pretty similar accomplishments though. Two ships passing in the night.
As a Bama fan I have no problem admitting that Malzahn is clearly a better head coach than Kirbs.
And let me add: Its your jackass fellow posters(for example this particular post) that claims UF will fall off the face of the earth because a position coach leaves but let a coordinator leave UGA and it's an upgrade. Such as it was Chaney's fault for losing the NC to Bama as well as the 4th and dumb SECCG. Coley was supposed to be an improvement but now he is the reason for the losses this year.
Then let UF have a player enter the portal and the dog fans crash the board talking of how Mullen is spiraling down and losing control. Let a UGA player enter the portal or have a recruit decommit and its because he had 6 deep 5 star players pushing him out of playing time.
Its us who know we are trending in the right direction with improvement but it's you guys like hound dog numbers that are saying UGA will win the next 9 titles out of 10.
Winning the SECCG almost guarantees you a spot in the playoffs. I don't know who downplayed that but it sure as shit wasn't me.
