You seem new around here so let me fill you in. Del Rio, Appleby, and Driskel......to name a few......were torn down even though they were trying their hearts out. So what's the difference between them and Franks? It's been pretty much equal opportunity bashing so what is your problem with it being directed at Franks versus any of his predecessors?

Generally empty shells go to the simplest response when they are outclassed intellectually. They either go straight to violence, or they lash out with their words. Their hopes are that they can put you on the defensive, it's a tactic child bullies use.

Neither was Cam Newton or Tim Tebow in the Beginning. I think you can look at the 4 QB that he put into NFL, none were very good in there first three games with his offense.
Can the Mullen/Johnson combo develope Franks into a 'serviceable' QB, given that they have the next 3 years to do so? Very likely, yes they can,,, eventually. Of course that throws the 'best chance to win NOW' BS right out the window....

There was even a smattering of boos when Franks went 0-for-6 passing (plus and Int for a -33 QBR) in the first quarter of Saturday’s game against Colorado State.
Mullen is known as a college football version of a horse whisperer. Except he is a quarterback whisperer — a coach who can take a wild, raw, untamed quarterback, psychologically delve into the player’s mind, work his mental magic and turn the quarterback into a star (eventually). The problem is that there are way too many armchair quarterbacks who don’t want to give Mullen time to be a horse whisperer. They want to immediately send Franks to the glue factory.

iG -- Notice to the coming Gator QB hopefuls. Franks will be here through the 2020 season, so nobody needs to apply before the 2021 season. Richardson is coming in 2020, so with a red shirt season, he should be ready to take over from rsSr Franks in 2021.
Trask, E.Jones and J.Jones might want to pursue a job elsewhere, unless they are just coming to UF for the EXCELLENT educational benefits of a full ride scholarship, which is still a very good reason to come to UF... TG, Ingle Martin transferred out out of UF to beautiful Furman Univ. in Greenville, S.C. and then went on to be a QB (5/148 Packers) in the NFL for 3 seasons, something that Leak never managed. And then Ingle moved on to be a HS Coach at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville,TN. with a 67-6 W/L record. BTW, where is Leak?
A xfer out of UF for a QB, is not always a step down, nor a bad move for that individual....
