Gators Gymnasts are 8-0, #4 in the nation, after defeating #5 LSU tonight at home 198.150 - 197.825. Their Sunday 1/16 match vs. Alabama was the 1st gymnastics match ever televised on network TV (ABC). Tonight's match was tied after 3 rotations, but Florida killed it in the floor exercise to end the match with a win. They are led by senior AA Trinity Thomas, consistent Grad student Megan Skaggs, senior specialists Nya Reed, Leah Clapper, Savannah Schoennerr and Alyssa Baumann and freshmen Lean Wong & Sloane Blakeley. This team has a chance to win a National Title, but they have a tough schedule left - @Kentucky, hosting Oklahoma, at Auburn and then in Raleigh, NC for the 3-way with NC State & Rutgers.
