Thoughts on the Game.

Why would he have had to been kicked off the team?

Oh for Wyatt's sake, let's not start this argument again. I was trying to stimulate a discussion on how FSU would have fared had he not been available to play, either from getting kicked off the team or from getting hurt.

Back to SMAG. Our coach didn't name him the starter at the beginning of the season because he probably knew he would miss wide open receivers too(excuse).

And he did that a lot in our game too. But he was able to make a few more plays that Treon was not able to make. Hence, FSU is a one man team. At least on offense.

Do I believe Jimbo wanted to score on that last drive?? Yes I do. And it's because he's trying to make the final score as impressive as he can to get as good a bowl as he can. Florida was ranked 12 before the game and for the folks that dont watch games and just look at the final score, all they see is 27-2. Only difference is I wouldn't have RUTS with Cook, I would have done it with Patrick.

Dan Ole Man makes sense for once.

I don't see the plus in bringing in a true freshman who had zero carries up to that point in the game to "try" and slather on the icing. Granted, Patrick looks to be a stud but not at that point against that team. JMO.

LOL

Ahead by 18 points, on Florida's 30, with just over a minute left?

Yea, that is a high risk situation.

So, who did danoleman give his sign on credentials to? This is one of the few rational post we have ever read under that moniker.

Hey yall are the ones that treat this board as a smackboard. I just join in, cross the line and get banned. Passover then let's me back on after a few weeks or a month or so. Lol.

Florida's defense was done on that last drive. I mean done as in they were already mentally in the locker room. Hell I could've ran it in on that last drive and I'm pushing 40.

Poor little baby.

Nothing wrong with a bit of intelligent smack talk. Yours rarely meets that standard.

Yep. But on the last two FSU drives, imo. When Treon missed wide open guys that could have scored a TD and made the game a lot closer, it really took a lot of enthusiasm out of the defense.

You old. Our players interviewed after the game stated they were not worn out at all. I find it hard to believe when you sit for a 3 and out and go back in. Mentally it has to be a drain as well. You keep trying to execute and you're doing a great job for 3 quarters. If it weren't for the defense, we would have been shut out.
If the Offense could muster a score a quarter you win the game. Luckily we have a great coach who will take care of business and put us back on top very soon.

I have yet to read "intelligent smack talk" on this board. Unless you call 50 JW threads that each run 15 pages long intelligent.

MJ, I am trying to give your team the benefit of the doubt. When the drive started I would not have brought the Freshman in. With 30 seconds left at the 29 I might have but that is Jimbo's call. He could have taken a knee or better yet kicked a FG too. At this point you are just nitpicking. You lost. Jimbo and Cookie broke it off Candi Fisher style and nobody got physically hurt so it is a win/win.

Thanks, but we do not need to be condescended to.

And I am not nitpicking. Or lamenting a 25 point loss vs a 18 point loss. Both make me want to tear my hair out.

I just find it funny that you Nole fans have to "defend" Fisher on something he does not need your help.

He was able to RUTS and he did. Good for him. Nole fans should be delighted. If the tables were turned, I would be delighted.

Now I know, really know, how the Nolies felt during their long dry spell. Can NOT wait for this chit to be over

I'm not defending him. I basically told you I would have done the same. Are we good now?

I occasionally post over there. But not often. The retardation level on the smack board is too much to bear. The regular board is not too bad.

I got banned from Warchant years ago for a comment on the Smackboard where I wrote, "Noles are too dumb to know what scotch is good." I made the comment to a guy who had a picture of Johnny Walker Blue in his signature. Now, if you know anything about good scotch then you know that Johnny Walker Blue is very good scotch (as far as blends go). Thus, you'd understand that I was NOT serious.

Haven't been back to that board since.

I was banned for life for cornering 64 on the smack board. He didn't have an answer for me so he banned me. You couldn't pay me a steady income to go over there again. There are enough nolies over here.

As much stuff 64 used to let gators and canes get away with on the smackboard and he banned you for that?? You wouldn't be leaving some details out now would you??

Don't I see you quite a bit over on our board? Just sayin'.
Quite a bit? Let me look. Several post this past week, given the game.

And yes, I counted about 20 posts in the month of November, absent game week. Mostly on the regular board.

So, I guess that is quite a bit. A lot less than here.

"Should have taken a knee",,,,,,,on 4th down? Oh my.
Both teams played with great intensity and the rivalry is back. This is the way it should be.
But to blame Jimbo for running a toss sweep on 4th down is beyond laughable. If Cook had been tackled, the Noles would not have run another play.
What was he supposed to do? If Mac had done this to us-I would have simply blamed my defense for not stopping the play.
If Jimbo truly was wanting to run up the score, he would have thrown it in the end zone.
As a coach you know well once said-'Its my job to call a play. Its your job to stop it." Hell, Spurrier ran a flea flicker in Athens for a TD late in a blowout win back in the day.

Almost once a day. A lot more than I post over here.
