Well there's a reason for that. Lagway was getting a lot of those yards, and his passing abilities keep teams from playing 8 in the box against us like they did with Mertz. That's not a knock on the freshmen running backs, they are good. But there was no getting around passing the ball yesterday in the second half with Lagway out. Georgia would have adjusted and gone back to a stacked D line. The issue is not having a guy on the roster with a pulse who can pass the football or run the RPOs.
Dawgs had the box loaded most of the game. We only took one shot in the first half and it was a TD. Our oline actually blocked well. We were still running the ball efficiently in the 2nd half. Heck, our lone TD drive in the 2nd half came off mostly runs.
Looks like Mrs Sad Gators behind.sadgator’s not sure where it all went so wrong with our program…but this kinda sh!t is simply unacceptable…

Brown left because he knew he was going to be 3rd team. He wanted to go somewhere lower level where he could have a chance to play. Makes perfect sense. So far he's struggled at Charlotte. Injuries are a tough break, but this is a bigger indication of Napier's lack of recruiting instincts/ability

That's what Max Brown said. He wanted an opportunity to start. Just taking the kid at his own word, just like I do for you no matter how stupid of a comment (which is very frequent). Kid wanted a chance to start. Mertz is way better, Lagway was coming, who also is way better, so it all jives with what he himself said.
You just can't come to the healthy conclusion that Max Brown sucks, as he currently does at UNCC.
