Watched a good portion of that GA - TX game today and both of those QBs looked pretty bad in that game despite GA dominating the scoreboard. Starting to think we might can hang with GA if our defense shows up a little. I'm sure ETN is really wanting to have a big game against us though.

Georgia has a defense that will make it very difficult on our offensive line and Lagway. It will be a true test of how good our O-line really is. And Carson Beck will hit open receivers that Tennessee and Kentucky's QB missed regularly. I'm very impressed with our front 7 on defense the last 2 weeks, but the secondary still isn't good.

If Beck plays like he did Saturday I would love it but he probably won't play that bad again.

Dawgs are better than UF across both lines. Having said that, in order for Florida to have a chance we need to not turn the ball over. If we can play a turnover free game then we have a great shot. The dawgs this year have feasted on turnovers flipping them to points frequently. That's how they beat Texas.

Beck is junk. Pure B trash. But UGly has better coaches than we do. It could be a fight tooth and nail if Lagway lights them up, but we could get blown out too. The Cocktail Party is always a street fight, I'm not conceding the Jorts anything.

The way to beat UGA, which makes them beatable this year is they can't just line up and jam it down your throat and choke your life force out anymore over 4 quarters like they have the last 5 years.. So it's forced Beck to wing is 40-50 times and it's not gone well, his threw 3 picks and had no TD's, if the defense didn't hold Texas to literally nothing for a whole half, like 16 yards of total offense.. UGA still could have lost a game they should have run away with. Etienne had 87 yards and that's like the best you've seen from their run game against a real opponent this year. That's kind of always been the Kirby way, even when his teams are completely controlling and dominating you look up and they still only have like 23 points in the 4th quarter and two big plays from the other team can all the sudden make it a death match. If you can find a way to score 24 points you're gonna have a chance against them unless they just happen to find a running game in two weeks against UF.. Which would not surprise me, we haven't even been competitive against them since 2020.

Dawgs are definitely beatable. They took advantage of Texas first half turnovers and built a lead that took Texas out of their comfort zone. If we play clean turnover free football, I believe we will be in the game in the 4th.

UK should have beat UGA and we just stomped UK, so it shouldn’t be impossible. I agree it’s unlikely. I hated the way we went into UGA last year, basically we played like we had no chance and we were just trying to keep the score down. This is Florida/Georgia. Crazy stuff happens. I remember when zook went into the game unranked vs No 3 Georgia and threw two dozen bubble screens to win.

We're not beating Georgia. No way, no how.
If there is one thing sadgator has learned about the current state of things, it is that Kirby dominates rivals and has his team uber prepared for big games (ala Urban).

He will have that team jacked up beyond belief coming off the bye and win over Texas, and there is no indication whatsoever that Florida has any ability to match that energy.

sadgator expects to see one of the most lopsided UGA wins in the series history coming up. It is going to be as bad as you can imagine. Hide your women, hide your booze, and stay at least 50 miles away from that town.

UGA is going to absolutely pound Florida…they will win going away by at least 20…sadgator is totally serious.

I like it.

Joke all you want…

It’s going to be the type of drubbing that makes people question the path of their lives…

Florida has absolutely zero…and sadgator means ZERO…chance to beat UGA this season…

For real…like men are gonna cry…hard…

No doubt about it. sadgator’s not even kidding at all…

If we are not competitive against our second half schedule, then Napier doesn’t have much of an argument to keep his job.

sad, love the Urb-big game comparison. It is why I was able to up my DraftKings account taking UGa with a + ML. A few of my friends up here in the north believed me and also took advantage. Most took the “Texas beat Michigan-so they are unbeatable” approach and laughed at me. Northerners just don’t understand the SEC🤣

I don’t think they are as good as in the past few years. I could be wrong. We shall see.

They are not, no all-world TE, no Ladd. BUT, their DL is VERY good and if they can make a freshman uncomfortable I am afraid that will be a problem. If they force DJ in to 2+ TO we are in trouble. Another concern is their D plan v. Billy’s TecmoBowl playbook.

Are you the numbers that was coaching (assistant) for an SEC team a few years ago? If so, where have you been and what are you doing now?

I think Urb and Kirby are a real good comparison. It is about attitude first. Neither will tolerate his guys not flying around and hitting. Not a coincidence that both are all-time recruiters.

One thing about UGA, when they have throws down the field, their offensive linemen will show up at the end looking to smoke somebody. They have bad attitudes.

I think my memory is coming back. Weren't you buddies (or at least online buddies with Danny Gator (DunnyGoater for Insta)?

sadgator HATES to admit it, but nobody in college football plays the “disrespect” card better than Kirby. Nobody actually ever disrespects them, but they act and play like they are pissed off at the world and want to rip peoples’ heads off because of it.

Conversely our guys will come out like, “aw shucks…hope we’in can compete today. Would ya’ll like some gummy bears?”

Yes he was. I believe he was tied to one of our coaches or one of their assistants (Muschamp?). But yes, numbers has been involved in football at a high level.

Thanks. It's said I have the keen memory of an elephant, but at my age I forgot where I hid him. 😂 😂

speaking of DannyGator, where the hell has he been? I talk to a few guys that don't post anymore sometimes but a few guys have disappeared almost entirely. I saw MJ passed, I always liked him. RIP

No idea. He was around about a year ago. Last I heard he was working in hospitality in New Orleans (not sure if still bartending).

Yep a lot of things point to this is not Georgia of the last 2 years. Especially not having a TE that guarantees a first down on 3rd down most series.

I'm just glad that we've got Baurgh now at RB instead of the drama queen ET....

In their game vs a common opponent (UK)....

Baugh vs UK - 22 for 106 yds 4.8 ypc, L-27, 5 TD's -- behind the UF OL.

Etienne vs UK- 19 for 79 yds, 4.2 ypc, L-17, 0 TD's -- behind the UGly OL.

Hopefully we can keep ETN from having a big game.
