This is the real Donald Trump

Actually it’s not. He’s so far from that it’s not funny. The uneducated believe he’s like this. Trump was simply supporting ppl supporting him. Not the white power comment. Anyone with a brain realizes that. Trump has done more for minorities than any other president besides Lincoln.

I wish I could give BlueEyedGator17 seventeen likes.

I bet you never said one negative thing about Obama's tenure after his thousands of pardons and misquotes/lies.
I’ve gone on record as saying a president, Pub or Dem, shouldn’t have the right or ability to pardon anyone. That’s what the courts are for. Separation of powers and all. Some are harmless, but pardoning a guy a payment for lying during an investigation into yourself seems especially egregious.

As far as misquotes/lies, I’ve always been for holding the president accountable. Misquotes don’t bother me, they are good for fodder, but intentional misstatements should be called out. Like when Obama was awarded the Lie of the Year for his “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” lie. That turned out not to be true.

Or his waffle on same-sex marriage and was against abortions then substituted women's rights over murdering babies. Promoted divisiveness and encouraged riots over false narratives, etc.

Presidential pardons are a constitutional power. What you think is BS. Now convince 38 states that you are right and then it will no longer be BS but law.

I disagree, pardons should be a thing

Yes, I realize they are part of the presidential powers. Although neither of you gave a good reason for this.

Trump’s pardon of Stone is a direct conflict of interest, and a good reason to change it.

Didn't Hussein give out over a thousand of them? Did we get 1,000 threads here complaining when it happened?

Did we get a single one?
By the end of his second and final term on January 20, 2017, United States President Barack Obama had exercised his constitutional power to grant the executive clemency—that is, "pardon, commutation of sentence, remission of fine or restitution, and reprieve"—to 1,927 individuals convicted of federal crimes.

The criminal justice system is broken, it doesnt serve everyone equally, there is corruption and bad cases. There should be a fall back. To me, Stone was targeted only becuz he was trumps ally. They got him becuz they couldnt get trump, it was a politically motivated arrest.

The constitution IS a good reason to have it.

Quit whining about it and change it via an amendment.

Cant do that then impeach if its so egregious.

Cant remove well then too bad.

Quit trying to take the quick and cheap way to your results.

It should be hard to alter the constitution as that was how it was designed.

But :

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams

So elect church goers who hold traditional values and most of you b$tching would fix itself.

But you don't get abortion or gay marriage if everyone was moral and religious as Adams and I would see it.

Oh while drugs were less regulated back then, recreational use would be frowned upon if sobriety was compromised.

Lastly, Trump did not pardon Stone. He commuted his sentence so that an old man who harmed no one and is in ill health doesnt die in prison. If I am POTUS I would commute Bernie Madoff. Yes he financially harmed many but he should not die in prison for a non-violent crime.

Bernie Madoff should be drawn and quartered for the pain he inflicted on people and charities. He’s total scum.

He is a huge lying a-hole..... but the special commissioner has collected (or expected to collect) about 75% of the money paid in, so the damage is somewhat reduced from what everyone expected .... still, accounts that paid into that cesspool basically not only didn’t make interest since investment, but takes a 25% haircut - high suckage factor
