Right now I live in the Beauclerc area near Baymeadows, only because it's less than 10 minutes from work. I also grew up on the westside.Petie Butt-gigged.
What part of Jax do you hail from? I'm near the ICW, but currently on the gulf coast fishing at our other place. I'm sick of people and their lunacy, population here? 500 or so.
When I first moved to Jax back in the early 80's, I bought a house in Mandarin. We were in the woods. The south side of Baymeadows Road was all farmland pasture. Now it's the crack hood motels sprinkled with office buildings. Moved in 98, bought a house near the ditch. Now even that's become a zoo, too damned many people. If I could convince my wife, I'd sell that son of a bitch in a heartbeat. Value has increased 300%, get several offers a week and it's not listed. Two neighbors sold their places in 4 hours. 😂Right now I live in the Beauclerc area near Baymeadows, only because it's less than 10 minutes from work. I also grew up on the westside.
I sold a house built in the 50s and bought 2 houses here. My daughter told me if would have waited I could have made another 100K. It worked out better for me in the long run. When I first moved to Jax back in the early 80's, I bought a house in Mandarin. We were in the woods. About 15 years ago that area you mentioned in the Southside of Baymeadows is what we call the new westside. When I first moved to Jax back in the early 80's, I bought a house in Mandarin. Well at least it's not quite as bad and not WEST Arlington. It has gone to hell in a handbasket. It's about as safe as Baltimore. I never lived that close to Baymeadows Road. Where we originally built was off Losco Road. It was mostly horse farms when we first moved there. Not anymore. Jax used to be an okay place to live. It's quickly becoming another shithole, it is still pretty decent out near the beaches, but its just a matter of time before that turns to shit as well. Did I mention I hate crowds? 😂About 15 years ago that area you mentioned in Mandarin is what we call the new westside.
