Ky Game Thread

AR's lack of experience is showing. He tries to look calm, but his play tells me he's lost his composure and is playing panicked. Maybe the Wildcats are mixing up their coverages and confusing him. We still have the 4th quarter to win this game and it'll be interesting to see how the team responds. KY is a solid, well coached team and it ain't gonna be easy to come back.

Kinda reminds me of the UGA game last year. Uf was in it untill the last minute or so due to Mullen's absurd play calling.....and then AR started trying to force things/turnovers and it blew the game open.

The biggest reason why he's not known for being a great pocket passer is not bc he doesn't have the ability, but his choices are questionable.

Who you gonna put in to go against Kentucky's defense?

At this point AR is a liability on the field. Idc who the backup is....if he can manage to not give UK points(AR has essentially given UK 14 points)....and can throw the ball 4 yards(like AR is doing most of the time)....I will take my chances with the backup.

Poor play design to go with poor use of formations and motions. We ran jet sweep into a defense side where we were outnumbered earlier in the game. That’s poor play design. Kentucky offense has had better play design and use of formations.

I get trying to install some confidence in your qb.....but this clearly not his night and wasting all your teams' efforts for a lost cause is gonna cause issues. There's gotta be a limit to stubbornness to not make a change.
Change to who? Why do you think he brought in a transfer and made him 2nd string?

Does anyone really not think we have a backup that can make that 4th down pass at like 2 yards out? I could make that pass.

I'm not saying Im anything, and certainly not even a qb, much less a college level qb.......but c'mon. A coach like Saban would know that AR was done for the night and relent to have given his backup a chance.

I mean, in the MLB, no matter how great the pitcher is....if he starts getting dinged around in the 3rd inning and is losing control....you go to your bullpen.

WRONG!! AR lost this game for us!!! He folded like and empty candy wrapper and because of not being able to adjust THE ENTIRE ****ING GAME, I really wonder about the rest of the season.

Can't lie if AR just didn't freeze up he doesn't have it mentally possibly.

With 4 capable backs and a freak running QB and we pass the ball like it's our strength.

Play to your strengths and run some run options, HB tosses, HB pitches, QB runs, etc.

We should be running traditional college offensive sets, not this pro style stuff. Run some triple option, run some wing T, run some spread option, run any run based college offense instead of this vanilla pro style.

Man, I hate losing to UK, especially how common it's been these years. It feels.....unnatural. I suppose that's how they feel when UF beats them in basketball.

I would rather lose to UT than UK,......yea, I said it. It's like Texas losing to Kansas in football. Talk to any UT fans....they would rather lose to Texas Tech than Kansas.

I'd rather lose to UK than UT because UK football fans are respectful whereas UT fans are......well we all know about that loud mouth Vols B**** trash.

I totally get where you're coming from. I guess I'm somewhat numb to their trash talk, because unlike FSU....and to a lesser degree UGA....there's no off switch for UT trash talk. They will even talk trash right after getting destroyed, whereas the other 2 fanhoods will generally "hide" for a bit.

I just hate the feeling that a basketball school likely has not just a hope, but a credible expectation to beat UF in recent years.

I picked Utah & Florida, so am 0-2 and that's why I NEVER bet on the Gators, or any other sports. Everybody knew going in to the season this was a rebuilding project. People got too high after last week and will overreact and be too low after tonight. I say just chill and see how the season plays out. We got outcoached and outplayed tonight. Both defenses were good, but that freak interception just before halftime kept them in the game and then the gimme TD in the 3rd quarter pretty much gave them the game. KY got a little bit of a running game going the 2nd half, as our thin defense wore down some. But our offense went from bad to pathetic in the 2nd half. No space for the running backs, no separation from the receivers and poor throws from the QB, combined with questionable play calling, IMO. I give KY a lot of credit, though. They were picked 2nd in the East, us 4th, and they proved tonight to be the better team. Just have to pick up the pieces, beat USF next week and then go to Knoxville and get the season back on track with a win.
