And buy a big truck. Apparently @GatorTheo is terrified of trucks as well.

I think it's funny how so many guys think having a truck makes them manly. Most of them have no need for a truck, they just like the message it sends.
So you own a big truck?

I'm noticing you keep commenting on what gun owners think and what truck owners think. Unless you own both, you really have no idea what you are talking about. How could you? It would be like me commenting on what it means to be terrified of an inanimate object.

Why are you avoiding the question? Here it is again:

How many weapons would you have to possess to be 'bearing arms'?

I've answered it numerous times, you just don’t appreciate the answer. Here it is again...

It does not matter because the right shall not be infringed (limited).

You don't seem to like that answer because it's not giving you what you desire. This is exactly why @RussellCasse asked you how you felt about limited speech. Rather than accepting that bit of education, you've ignored it and charged headlong as though you heard and learned nothing. And that's just more proof that you're trolling.

At this point, for me at least, we aren't even debating the 2nd amendment anymore. I'd simply appreciate it if you would admit that you're trolling but sharper minds won the day. You've lost...but you just keep going pretending that no one has noticed. We have noticed...and a better man would admit defeat at this point.

How would a criminal know if someone is armed?

You framed your question as dishonesty as you could. Bravo, troll.

If you're a criminal, would you rob the guy that you believe is probably armed or the guy who probably isn't?

And then you avoided the question.

Listen, I've enjoyed about as much of this crap as I can stand. Get smarter, try a different tactic or move on to some other ridiculous position because this dead horse is dead.

@GatorTheo is a troll. As we've demonstrated ITT, he's a very BAD troll.

He tried to troll us, we all saw the trolls immediately.

Instead of admitting defeat and moving on, he is trying to 'make us pay' by repeating the same trolls over and over again. He was shown the links weeks ago that disproved his 'if you own 2 arms you are bearing arms' troll attempt but he keeps repeating it.

He is trying to troll us into dropping the issue.

I just want him to explain to me what problems guns cause. He keeps making this claim, I want to see the list.

Also, he claims there are 'only' 100,000 defensive gun uses a year in the US. Assuming that number is accurate, how many lives were saved as a result of these DGU?

Let's hope he stops trolling and starts participating in the conversation.

So, your answer is that you're not going to answer? Honestly, I don't blame you because I know you wouldn't like the honest answer.

LOL, I own several...but I mostly drive a car when I'm not in the work vehicle.

What do I like about my trucks? Well, obviously you can haul stuff around or tow stuff, which I do...but I also like the better visibility of being slightly higher off the ground. Also, as I get older, "falling" into a sportier car and then crawling out of it becomes less and less fun.

What do I like about my car? It's pretty quick and I love the way it handles corners. The gas mileage is also much better.

So far as I can tell, only you have tried to infer that trucks are the more manly vehicles. You mention it repeatedly and then try to put the idea off on us. Who does something like that? Other than a troll I mean.

So you only have opinions on things you own? Are you sure about that?

I have plenty of opinions on things I don't own.

If you don't own a gun or a truck, commenting on how an owner of either thinks is pretty ridiculous.

Now that you are here, please answer these questions that you keep avoiding for some reason:

1 - What problems do guns cause. You keep making this claim, I want to see the list.

2 - You claim there are 'only' 100,000 defensive gun uses a year in the US. Assuming that number is accurate, how many lives were saved as a result of these DGU?

I think a responsible, adult gun owner's view on gun violence would range between "yes, guns cause us problems and I'm willing to make some level of sacrifice for the common good" and "yes, guns cause us a problem but it's the price we pay for freedom".

A gun nut would never, ever acknowledge anything negative about guns for fear that jackbooted thugs would kick their door down and take their guns. They will wholeheartedly believe ANYTHING, no matter how ridiculous, that supports guns. If you're convinced that guns don't hurt anyone because they're inanimate, you're a gun nut.

I think that the gun industry, for reasons of pure greed, drives the gun nut hysteria. You said "besides fearmongering to increase sales" but I don't think there is any other reason (at least I can't think of one this early).
I cannot for the life of me recall seeing an advertisement, a social media post or any other coercive media from a gun company in years.

Where is all of this "driving of hysteria" you speak of?

No. Maybe read my response again? Or not. Who cares at this point?
Sorry if I'm somehow missing your response. I read your answer and I'm not seeing it. I'll try one more time.

How many weapons do you have to possess to be 'bearing arms'? I'm looking for a number (that's why I said 'how many').

Helpful hint: Like if you had no weapons and I gave you one, would you be 'bearing arms'? How about if I gave you two? Three? How many would it take before you could accurately say you are 'bearing arms'?

Thanks.

Terrified of them, presumptuous, and…..

low self esteem. Very uncomfortable with their own manhood and projecting.

You probably right on the rest but the presumptuous part is where you nailed it imho. And he seemingly has no basis for his presumptions.

ITT (and others tbh) I've learned that I'm probably a wimp who is trying to act tough because I own a small number of guns and occasionally drive a truck. 😂🤣😂

I could. But I'd look just as ridiculous as you do here.

Hey it goes both ways...I really can't comment on what terror goes through your mind as you are panting heavily and urinating on yourself under your bed because a big truck backfired in front of your house and you thought you were about to be shot. You can speak to what that level of fear of an inanimate object is like, I cannot.

You ever hear of the gun lobby? You don't think they have any influence? You don't think they involve themselves in social media? You don't think organizations like the NRA reflect exactly what the gun companies want them to reflect?

I believe that their ability to advertise is extremely limited by most media. For whatever reason, these mighty and powerful gun companies (see master hypnotizers) have chosen not to really challenge the practice.

Instead they choose very targeted advertising in magazines or on sites that focus on hunting, law enforcement or self-defense.

You can certainly make presumptions based on stereotypes. I do it pretty regularly.

However, the dude in the Prius may very well be packing .50 caliber Desert Eagle. You never know.

Maybe the "manly gun" makes up for the femininity of the car??? 😂

Yeah. I just can’t wrap my head around someone thinking they know a person bought a Truck to show….”manhood”

It’s something that never even crossed my mind, and I currently don’t own a truck. It’s such a weird presumption that there has to be something to it. Not sure what? Penis envy maybe? Not literally, just figuratively.

Reasons I have owned a truck in the past.

Work, towing trailers, boats, fifth wheels etc.

Flexing manhood never crossed my mind. It seems like once again, the person always accusing others of being judgmental, are actually the ones being judgemental.

Seems like that happens more often than not.

2. I'm not sure I understand the intent of the question.

If the government tells you that you can only have two guns that is still infringement. As with the other 9 amendments that make up the bill of rights, they are intended to guide government, not citizenry.

I feel like @GatorTheo has been bullied in his past and his irrational fears of inanimate objects like guns and trucks are somehow tied into these traumatic episodes from his past.

Sounds like he needs to man up and stop being a sissy. I'm reporting him.

If you're 'bearing arms', your right to 'bear arms' has not been infringed.

If you have a right to eat cake and you're eating cake, your right to eat cake has not been infringed.

Some people need a truck.

If you find a guy who mocks other guys for driving a Prius or whatever, they're probably driving a truck with no actual need for a truck. Watch for it, you'll see it.

Right, the people who need guns to protect themselves are the manly ones. 😂
