Send this little PHAGGOT to my house first
Theo thinks exactly like David Hogg

It doesn't matter that they're inanimate objects. We regulate inanimate objects all the time.

You all think that you're defending guns by saying that they're inanimate. It's meaningless blather.
Tell that to the Israeli’s who, also under strict gun laws, were slaughtered like sheep.

Do think it could happen to you. I can tell you of two dozen, well placed Jewish business and political leaders, who now think completely differently about the topic.

I am a quarter Jewish. Am I worried a bit? You betcha.

you may say, “well, what about Abortions? Vaccine mandates?” Yes - get the government out of that as well.

For whatever the reason, to me as a man...my job is to protect my family and loved ones. PERIOD. The Israel situation is a PERFECT example. Do you think on 10/6 those people thought bad people with bad intentions were gong to come do what they did? We have THE MOST OPEN borders(because the election was stolen) of ANY Country on earth. Does anyone think any bad guys came across the southern border? I do...and I 100% believe we will be attacked because of it. The people who are afraid of guns can explain it to THEIR families why they got raped, killed etc. I will not be put in that position.

They want their country to be flooded with guns like America?

'Gun free zones' are a result of people trying to do something to help. It's obviously not going to work when surrounding areas are flooded with guns. It'd be like an 'illness free area' in a hospital.

I gave you my opinion on what an assault weapon would be. Something that, relative to other guns, let's you do more damage quickly.

Here is the first definition I found: Although existing state laws use varying definitions for what constitutes an assault weapon (often determined by the presence of certain features), assault weapons are generally high-powered semiautomatic firearms where each round has up to four times the muzzle velocity of a handgun round.
So virtually any semi-auto long rifle?

JFC...say goodbye to hunting.

And the ignorance of this definition is staggering...as if muzzle velocity is the determinant factor in "killing" power.

In the link below, the highest muzzle velocity is a .204 Ruger at 4225 fps. It's a 5mm wide round used for hunting squirrel and rabbit. Most of the rest of the 3500fps+ club are .22 cal rounds. Neither would be a good choice for home protection or "killing".

At the bottom of the list you have monster .357 and .44 mag rounds that would put a hole the size of a baseball upon exit. Coming in at a slow AF 2050fps is the old .557 NE round. It's a 3-1/2" behemoth used in WW1 to penetrate steel plates the Nazi's were hiding behind. A clear killing weapon.

You should really avoid talking about subjects you have zero knowledge of - it hurts your argument and makes you look desperate to make a point you have no business trying to make.

@FresnoGator asked you the question as a set up - there's no such thing as a commercially available assault rifle. Even "scary" AR-15's typically have slower muzzle velocities than similar caliber semi-auto hunting rifles...but they look so scary! 😆

I simply cannot believe this thread is still going on, but here it is.

Theo likes to argue, and he doesn't care about what. It's a classic debate exercise, take the opposite position and sharpen your skills by sticking to it even if you have to use logical fallacies to do so. Lather, rinse, repeat.

It appears to have been quite successful.

Carry on gents.

I just looked up the definition on the internet. Sounded to me like different states have different definitions.

Which proves my point.

If it was clear what an assault rifle was, or if the category even existed, there’d be one clear definition.

You know, there are categories of firearms that do have clear definitions. Bolt action rifle, semi auto handgun, etc. Those are easy to define and ban.

“Assault rifle” is a made up term to go after guns that confiscation nuts think are scary.

Guns are flooding in because our border is insecure thanks to Pelosi and Biden. Gangs are taking money to prey on people from many countries to bring them to the U.S.

You tell the Israeli’s who were pulled from homes and had their loved ones killed that they wish they did not have AR-15s.

I am part Jewish and had many relatives ripped out of homes and put in gas chambers. This is not some Wayne LaPierre “pearl clutching” moment.

This is real. Do NOT abridge my second amendment rights.

Then don’t get a gun.

These AR-15 killings are a rare event and in nearly every case there are mental health red flag that the authorities were slow to act on.

Listen, having an AR-15 to blow away Bambi is dumb. My scenario is real.

Real issue is mental health and the borders for the illegal guns.

The gun violence problem is far larger that whatever one calls an 'assault' weapon. Those get far more than their rightful share of attention because they turn up in so many 'mass' shootings.

I have no problem with qualified Americans being able to defend themselves with firearms.

That's addressing the actual problem. @GatorTheo isn't interested in that, he wants to wet the bed over an inanimate object.

“A well regulated militia”

I’m sorry about your relatives, and I’m sorry the current gov’t of Israel disarmed citizens who literally lived in a hotbed of terrorism.

Why do you think the founding fathers included guns in the constitution? What were they trying to protect against? Then ask yourself how valuable you think it is. Cars kill a lot of people but the utility is worth it.

Things were a bit different 200+ years ago. They were trying to allow for a militia, if needed.

Cars aren't designed to be killing machines so there's a different standard (for most people).

No, people have always sought to control other people. That has never and will never change. They knew the nature of men and were trying to make things as difficult as possible for those in power to abuse that power. It’s more true now than ever actually. The reason the hat rifles isn’t because they care about life, that’s comical. A rifle is a real weapon a handgun can’t do much against a rifle unless you’re within 20 feet or so. I can teach an 8 year old how to shoot a rifle with accuracy to 100 yards in 10 min. You want to balance power as much as you can. Kind of why it’s so important not to have a crooked ass tax code like we do, too much power is concentrated in too few hands….

“Too much more concentrated in too few hands” - YES. We massively agree on this.

What this country needs is real leadership. I doubt that’s going to happen. Certainly nobody on the current political landscape fits the bill. A bunch of grifters and con artists.

He spent a month trying to say that the Constitution didn't give you the right to own more than one gun.

Dude is terrified.
A bolt action single shot .22 is plenty of protection, as long a chihuahua is robbing you.

Theo talking about guns is like me trying to talk nuclear physics…which is why I don’t. It’s scary and I’m ignorant about it.

Well at least you know you’re not 50 feet tall.

Actually it's more like Einstein trying to explain quantum physics to him. He still won't understand. 😂

Have I ever said qualified people shouldn't be able to protect themselves? Can you link it?
Here you posit that knives are enough to “bear arms”

Pull a knife on an intruder with a gun and let us know how that works for you bud

I've said I wasn't sure about that. I know 'arms' seems plural but perhaps someone with only one gun can be considered to be bearing arms.

I found this to be an interesting twist:

"Under the Supreme Court's standard in District of Columbia v. Heller, knives are Second Amendment “arms” because they are “typically possessed by law-abiding citizens for lawful purposes,” including self-defense."

What if due to open borders Palestinians come in and kill Jews. This kind of clear hate speech is being reported on college campus such as Columbia. Today. By CBSNews. Not newsmax.

College kids are scared - legitimately and this is not the BS kind of Riley Gaines so called "hate speech".

College campuses are doing nothing outside of some feel good emails after billionaire donors pull their money.

Cops are too scared to intervene after the George Floyd and defund the police movement.

Wake the F up, but enjoy your privledge and don’t you dare take my right to have a gun. Don't you dare.

The Founders got it right.

I asked if I've ever posted that you shouldn't be able to defend yourself. You couldn't find that but you found where I linked a supreme court decision that said knives are 'arms'.

Yeah, that's pretty much the same thing.
