Not sure I agree. On the one hand, Trump doesn't take attacks personally. He gets along fine with most of the republicans he fought with viciously in the 2016 primaries.
On the other hand, Trump is yuge on loyalty. And he feels slighted that DeSantis wants to run in 2024 after he feels he cleared the path for him to win in 2018 by endorsing and campaigning for him.
So I could see it going either way. I think right now his base would much rather have Lake as his VP, but if him and DeSantis could get on the same page again, they would love having him be the VP pick as well.
Now hold on...I am not saying it WILL happen. I am saying just because they are jockeying for position NOW, does not mean they may not unite later. I really wish it WOULD happen, but Ron has just about as big of an ego as DJT does..he just keeps his in check

This is silly. If he is going to run, he needs to come out and smack Trump in the mouth. DeSantis should highlight the fact that Trump is a loudmouth and a john. He should get after him on his Fauci love to.

Well starting in 2028, someone else besides Trump will be running. The America First movement has to go past Trump, or else all we will do is buy ourselves another 4 years of good times at best, then back to the dem hellhole.
Ideally, Trump's VP in 2024 would run and win in 2028 and 2032. So he needs to pick someone who can carry the torch for the America First movement.

The Dems didn't show up in FL in 2022 (way less voted than in 2018) and there are way more Reps now. Its why fellow empty Suit Marco Rubio won by about the same amount as DeSantis.
DeSantis has done a great job on the whole as governor. His point was, if it wasn't for Trump stepping in, Andrew Gullum would likely still be your governor today.
To be honest, I'm beginning to think he doesn't run in 24. His poll numbers are just atrocious. I literally have not seen a single poll that has him within 20 points of Trump head to head.
I think soon he will suddenly come out and announce he's not running, never said he was, I can't control what people in the media say.
