LOLOLOl.nail and I listen to what Fox and Associated Press tells.
Well, my first job was as a bag boy at Publix. Are you a big tipper? Can you carry my groceries into the house?
You know people of color don't tip.Well, my first job was as a bag boy at Publix. Are you a big tipper?
I thought that was just a stereotype. You mean “No Tippin” Pippen really deserved that nickname? You know people of color don't tip.
I can only speak for my people but whenever I go out to eat with my folks or family, I bring cash even if I'm not paying. Because almost assuredly the server will either not be tipped or be woefully under tipped. And the explanation is I shouldn't have to pay extra for them to do their job or their employer shouldn't expect me to make their hourly wage meet minimum.I thought that was just a stereotype. I actually agree. Having owned two restaurants, I hate what our tipping system has become. Servers can make big bucks while the people actually preparing the food make very little. Everyone has their hands out.I can only speak for my people but whenever I go out to eat with my folks or family, I bring cash even if I'm not paying. Both statements are true, tipping in America is more extortion than choice.
My 2022 yearly outlay for electricity was highest the 13 years in this house. My house is highly effeciant all electric with 2 occupents. Why are Americans struggling with energy bills?
Families are struggling to pay high energy bills along with other rising costs for essential goods, like food and rent, that are increasing at a faster rate than the overall rate of inflation. Grocery prices rose 10.4% annually in December and rent rose about 7.5%, while overall inflation increased by 6.5%.
The number of households receiving energy assistance this winter season rose an estimated 1.3 million, from 4.9 million to 6.2 million, the largest one-year increase since 2009 and the highest total rate of applications since 2011, according to policy organization National Energy Assistance Directors Association on Monday.
Applications for energy help are made through the federal social services Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program in each state.
"These numbers don’t even account for possible increases in applications this summer to help families pay for air-conditioning as they deal with rising temperatures due to climate change," said Mark Wolfe, National Energy Assistance Directors Association's executive director. "We could hit record levels of applications this year if current trends continue."

McDonald's
Craving a Big Mac? You’re in luck, because McDonald's decreased its menu prices by 5 percent in 2022. This is likely due to the fact that the cost of ground beef is lower now compared to last year. Don’t forget to order fries with that, because French fry prices at the Golden Arches are down $0.09.
Burger King
But what if you prefer Burger King? You’re in luck yet again, because the cost of a Whopper is now a whopping $.027 less than it was last year. Hungry? Make it a double since the price of a Double Whopper is down $.039 cents.
LOL. This is right up there with the Biden White House touting a $0.16 reduction in the cost of a 4th of July cookout....Good news for you poors. Now stop your whining

More bad news for the haters. Looks like my prayers have paid off. The Biden Boom continues.
U.S. hiring accelerated sharply to 517,000 jobs in January and the unemployment fell to 3.4%, the lowest rate in more than 53 years, the Labor Department said Friday.

I haven’t eaten at 5 guys for a while but it was pretty decent. Not sure why they would raise their prices? The price of peanuts?
Things keep getting and better, much to the dismay that are hoping for a recession. This is surprising. It looks like the figures for the last months were also revised upwards.

Unemployment Statistics Are Misleading. Economic Hardship Is Much Worse
Analysis: Headlines still say the job market is strong, but it's not true.
What official figures tell us (and what they don't)
Let's start with the misconceptions. An unemployment rate of 3.7% does not mean that 96.3% of people in the US are gainfully employed.
Nor does the official unemployment rate represent how many people are collecting federal unemployment insurance. A large percentage of people without jobs aren't even eligible to collect unemployment, such as independent contractors, as well as employees who quit voluntarily or were fired for cause. And a lot of workers who do qualify for jobless benefits remain without work long after their aid runs out, which is usually around 26 weeks.
The BLS' unemployment data comes from the Census Bureau's Current Population Survey, which interviews about 60,000 eligible households each month. For the main BLS figure, called the U-3, the number of unemployed people is recorded as a percentage of the civilian labor force. Individuals are classified as unemployed if (and only if) they meet the following criteria: They must be currently available to work and must have looked for a job in the last four weeks.
That means that someone without a job who is not "actively" seeking work -- whether due to pessimism, family obligations or multiple other reasons -- is considered outside of the labor force and excluded from the U-3 figure.
