Yep. And the Black community is under 50 percent property ownership. But taking a step back from that, and just to give one example of how ludicrous his proposal is…this Big Government goofball wants to take away voting rights from veterans who ruined their bodies to defend voting rights, but don’t own property.

I can't say I agree with only property owners voting but I could be on board with only federal tax payers (not just SSI) being a requirement for voting, up until you retire. The Rep billionaires club has a decision to make soon and I heard they are already arguing over it and that is whether to hitch their wagons to someone else soon like the VA Gov who isn't even in the race. It won't make any difference but if DeSantis looks weak at the debate Trump is likely to skip I think they may realign many of those PACs after that and try some hail Mary move.
Hard to say how this plays out with DeSantis looking worse the more he is out there. I could see DeSantis falling a lot and someone else passing him for 2nd especially if the big money starts backing off. Vivek's problem is he is liked by the people that like Trump but most won't vote for him over Trump. My guess for 3rd if DeSantis doesn't collapse would probably be Haley.
That's insane. We will never see another political candidate as popular as Donald Trump.

There is a LOT to be said here. Florida residents (like me) LOVE DeSantis as our Governor. The most popular Governor in my lifetime BY FAR...yet he cannot even sniff the popularity of Trump. tHE MEDIA AND THE ESTABLISHMENT ARE DOING A great JOB CONVincing people Trump cannot win. They are SO wrong

I am concerned about this. I think if Trump were not SO POPULAR...DeSantis would be the nominee. But he HAS to shed his ties to the establishment...or he is DONE at Gov for his career. OR....go demoRAT

I have to agree with you. I REALLY like the guy, and am VERY appreciative of what he has done for Florida.
Maybe if he tried to get a hold of it instead of doing minor changes and then running around with the establishment while Floridians are getting killed in insurance it wouldnt be so bad. I know people here in my town getting destroyed and some have done like me and just self insure now if their houses are paid off because its so crazy now.
We really did. This is speculation, but here's what I think happened.
The dems could see that a 2024 ticket of Trump and DeSantis was quite possible. They feared this combo would all but completely unite the republicans, and get a sizable chunk of the indy vote. Which would mean they would have to rachet their cheating efforts up to an even higher level in 2024 to overcome it.
They knew they couldn't risk it, so they decided to try to fracture the republican party inside. I think the dems got a few of the Bushies and their cronies to go to DeSantis and pitch him on a 2024 run. When DeSantis said he had some interest, they immediately leaked that info to Trump's camp.
They assumed this would result in Trump calling out DeSantis for getting in bed with the RINOs, which did happen.
They assumed that this would result in the republican party being split down the middle, half supporting Trump, half DeSantis, and that DeSantis would win. But the party would remain fractured and a steal in 2024 may not even be necessary but if it was, it would be much easier to hide.
Instead, Trump is now more popular than ever, and DeSantis' political career is over.
So I suspect the next move will be to line up the events that will necessitate suspending the 2024 election.

So who is your guy now after Trump? I can't imagine you liking Youngkin or Kemp. Maybe Abbott?
It's funny how running for President really destroys people. I also can't understand why people thought DeSantis would have a good campaign. His governor campaign was awful, until Trump saved his butt.
When the price of a home goes up, typically the price of renting goes up
I don’t think this needs to be said, but when a campaign begins sinking…it’s very difficult to get a big enough bilge pump to stop it from going under.
