I'm glad Golson came here for his last season. Contrary to what MJ says, I do believe he will get better as he get more comfortable as will the offense. Tough game tonight against BC. One which we most certainly can lose.

Agreed. He's basically a freshmen from a playbook standpoint. I'd be more concerned about what FSU has around him, namely the o-line.

I also think Jimbo has a proven record of coaching to a players strength and improving upon those weaknesses.
The O-line will improve.
DISCLAIMER: None of the above comments means I think FSU is a contender. I still think we are a 10-2/9-3 team.
By the way, noles, quit hijacking my thread, it's about over usage of Dalvin Cook. It is not about Golson, New Mex. St, Texas St, or USF
Let the record show that the below post was the catalyst to the hijack. Any previous posts pertaining to Golson were tied to directly to Cook's carries/performance.

That OL is horrendous and it might very well get them beat this Friday, if USF was coming like that then any decent team they play will do it too and worse. Golson is already a loose cannon with the ball, if you have him knowing he has to run around or get rid of it faster than he wants too.... he might break jameis INT record.

I am not sure this qualifies as an informed source. Any idiot FSU fans can make these kind of claims. And most of the idiot FSU fans (a vast majority) do make these kind of claims.
The good thing about having opinions about future events is that actual results can and will confirm or deny the opinions.
We shall see.
My opinion is that Golson will be, at best, a serviceable QB for FSU. He will be very good at handing the ball off the Cook. If he is asked to win a game? Well, FSU fans will probably not be pleased.

That said, If you want to bring up how dominant Jalen Ramsey is, we can discuss that in this thread. If you want to continue discussing how many carries, YPC, arrests, etc. that Cook will get, we can go there as well. The RRT is letting you guys set the pace. After all, it is YOUR board.

I tend to stay within the confines of FSU threads...if/when I venture out, I participate in the thread topic appropriately. I'm sure an example can be given to the contrary, but it would be the exception not the rule. Fortunately, there's enough FSU threads here to keep me occupied.

Luckily for FSU you play a lot of teams that aren't very good and don't have very many good players.
I don't have a huge issue with you guys posting here. It sometimes makes things more interesting. It is just the incessant whining, hijacking and deflecting that gets a bit tiresome.

Yea, I probably have about a dozen or so posts there since the ban was lifted last spring. Honestly though, the moron content over there is almost astonishing. That board is well nigh unreadable. I will say though that the new moderator is a vast improvement over the previous coward.
OK then. I made a mistake about Texas State. They are 1-A and ranked almost as high as USF.
