Crawshaw Earns “Ray’s 8” Nod for Week Eight Effort

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators punter Jeremy Crawshaw was named one of the Ray Guy Award’s “Ray’s 8” for week eight, highlighting his outstanding efforts for Florida’s special teams unit during the Gators’ win over Kentucky.
Crawshaw was called on to punt a total of four times against Kentucky, landing one of those punt inside of the opponents 20-yard line, two for over 50 yards, including a 60-yard launch that flipped the field from the Florida 30 to the Kentucky 15-yard line. his 50.75-yard average punt was his top mark of this season.
In the 2024 season, Crawshaw is responsible for 26 punts through Florida’s seven contests, going for 1,204 total punt yards. His 46.3-yard average ranks 13th in FBS this season, while his 44.7-yard net ranks eighth among players with multiple punts.
This is Crawshaw’s third “Ray’s 8” honor, making him the second punter in the nation this season with three Ray’s 8 nods and one Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week honor.
2024 is Crawshaw’s fifth season with Florida and fourth as the Gators starting punter. The 2023 campaign saw Crashaw set career and single season program records in career average yards per punt (46.7) and single-season yards per punt (48.9). He was named to the AP All-SEC Second-Team at the end of last season. Crashaw also earned preseason honors from CFN, Athlon Sports, Sporting News and Phil Steele.
