Anyone watch the first game? I left the house to lift and it was 5-1, looked at it again and it was tied.. CS Fullerton had Oregon State and their overblown record toe tagged, a 4 run lead in the 6th is fair to say is equal to a 17-21 point lead in football for college baseball... See when we are the favorite and get in spots like that in the past we have lost and they came back and got the job done, I still don't think they are what they are hyped up to be or even close, I think our SEC teams could get them with the elite pitching and LSU's bats too...

They said OSU's win streak this year would be equivalent to 60 straight wins in MLB lol..

LSU and FSU come on in about an hour, gonna be interesting, surprised the total isn't higher, think it was only like 7 or something and ours was 9 for tomorrow, I know LSU's ace is going but that's a little odd...

lol LSU just literally scored from first base on a wild pitch strike out with two outs to cut it to 2-1 after FSU hit one out to deep center for a 2 run shot...

Lol FSU just had three errors on the same base hit in about 7 seconds, that's two runs they gifted LSU to tie this game now... Scored on a 3rd out strikeout from first base on a wild throw earlier, now this botch in Center, botch at 2nd THEN botched drop at home when he was dead by 2 feet STILL.. I swear these teams like LSU get the same type of luck in football and everything in games..

This is an exceptionally strong field at the CWS this year and Oregon St. & LSU showed a lot of heart and resilience yesterday. Both were outplayed for most of their games, yet managed to hang in there, come from behind and win in the end. Can the Gators do the same? We've got excellent starting pitching and a knack for winning close ball games. But it looks like every game is going to be a dogfight decided by a couple of plays or pitches.

Those teams kept playing and kept putting on pressure until their opponents cracked. That's how the Gators have been playing so far this year. Hopefully they keep it up.

The last five Gators CWS loses have been one run loses. This year, Florida leads the nation in one run wins

well, we'll see soon if we can do what those teams have done when they are in any kind of trouble trailing... UL is the 7 seed but favorites to win the CWS somehow by the Vegas odds...

never a good sign when all the faves have won before we play the team that was picked to win it all pre season odds...

Finally got an early run on from schwarz

and we just picked off two runners from a great stab on wild pitch from rivera and caught the runner on first leaning for the 3rd out to end the inning... We need to score some runs though, 1 won't win it against any team here...

Faedo's a monster. He was pretty much all we had going for us and it was more than enough.

Initially I thought O'Sullivan made a mistake not letting Faedo pitch the 8th inning. Byrne was a little shaky, but did the job. Great win. Hope Singer is on Tuesday night.

Scratching out three runs on nine hits against TCU's excellent pitcher was not chopped liver. That guy is good.

Definitely. Lineup did its job just how they did second half of the year. They don't really string hits together but you look up by the eighth inning and they've got 3-5 runs. Louisville looks very tough. Singer can dominate, though. Their starter doesn't look that scary.

Quick Hits:

Faedo now has 146 Strike-Outs on the season, tying UL's Brendan McKay for the National lead.

Byrne now has 17 saves, tying TCU's closer Durbin Feltman for the National lead.

No 2 and a Q for FSU this year. They beat CSF to play the loser of the LSU/Oregon game on later tonight

Fullerton has a storied history at the CWS, but if my research is correct, they last won a game in Omaha in 2006, losing in the semifinals to North Carolina. They are 2 and done their last 4 trips there. Looking forward to the LSU/Oregon St. game, although the wife will be glad when this tournament is done because she gets a break from sports until football kicks off. Her favorite time of the year is July and the first 3 weeks of August.

it's 2017, how is there not review in college at LEAST for this event? He was just clearly safe at 2nd and called out for LSU

Then what does she do and watch during that time
During July & August. we watch a lot of DVD's that I've bought during the year. We have a huge movie collection. And we go out more. While I'm watching sports, we have 4 TV's in the house. She has a sewing room and is a quilter and sometimes she's in there where there's a 40" HD flatscreen. We also have a den/office with a nice PC and a 42" HD flat screen. Our bedroom has a TV and our living room has a 52" HD flat screen with surround sound. And she has a tablet, so sometimes she'll sit with me and watch Gator games while playing on her tablet. But I watch a lot more than Gator games and she could care less about those. We've been married nearly 42 years so we've figured out how to make it work.

Oregon State pounding LSU 8-0 in the bottom of the 6th. They are legit. Got some help when LSU's starter had to leave in the 3rd with an arm injury.

Doesn't Oregon St only have like 4 losses on the entire season? I don't care who you're playing. That's pretty incredible.

OSU 56-4 working on 23 rd straight win. This is their second 20+ win streak this year. Now 13-1 in the ninth inning. It looks like LSU plays FSU in the elimination bracket on Wednesday.

In the win over TAM, UL pitchers had the following results;Win: Mckay-Mckay 5 innings and 97 pitches (64 strikes), Henzman in inning and 9 pitches (6 strikes), Bordner 3 innings and 32 pitches (20 strikes). McCay allowed all four earned runs .

We probably see McClure or Bennett tonight.

Ocala Star-Banner said McClure is pitching for Louisville

I am sick of seeing players make it to first base safe by a whole step and getting called out...VIDEO replay needs to be allowed for calls like this!!!! These UMPS are terrible...

And the 1st base Umps are Eagle-eyed compared to the plate Umps ball/strike calls. They stink on ice....

Maldonado finally pulled. Not sure why O'Sullivan left him in with a big lead. The 2nd baseman was in straight away right cutting balls off.
