I went over to Baseball America to see the top 100 draft picks. Florida is projected to have six players drafted in the top 100. Vanderbilt, with all its draft picks the last two years, has done a good job of stacking their roster. They are projected to have 4 picks. As is Miami. LSU has a few projected to go in the top 100, as does South Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, Arkansas, TAM, Auburn, Missouri, Mississippi and Mississippi State. That is 13 of the 14, with Alabama being the lone program with no top 100 projected draftees. This is one reason the SEC is so tough in baseball.
The ACC also has a lot of programs with good talent. In addition to Miami, Louisville, GaTech, NC State, UNC, Virginia, Clemson, Duke, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest all have at least one payer projected in the top 100. That is 10 of the 14 programs. Guess which teams are missing?
