Give Kugel's minutes to Aberdeen. At least he looks like he wants to be on the floor.Under the heading of WTF????
SG Riley Kugel missed all three of his attempts from deep today at home vs Quinnipiac.
He’s now on an 0-for-19 stretch. 😯
Kugel has publicly admitted that he struggles with playing down against lower-ranked teams.

The iG speculates, that he should then go 4 of 5 on 3's vs #8 Kensucky next Sat.... 😉
To me, Riley still looks lackadaisical and unfocused about half of the time he's playing.
Will Richard has been great for Florida over the past six games.
He’s shooting over 50% from the field and over 40% from three over that stretch.
The iG thinks that maybe CG Will Richard should be starting vs UK instead of Kugel...
Unfortunately it appears Riley is a victim of his own success. Last year he was playing with great confidence and no pressure. This year he’s feeling the pressure of expectations. Some can handle it and some can’t. Hopefully he will figure it out. He is definitely talented.Give Kugel's minutes to Aberdeen. At least he looks like he wants to be on the floor.
I agree. But often times he looks disinterested out there.Unfortunately it appears Riley is a victim of his own success. Last year he was playing with great confidence and no pressure. The only place I'm posting is here, and a bit in the Parking Lot. I have become weary of the crap on the political stuff, so my posting over there has fallen off as of late.... 🤐Insta, do you post on another site? Your way of posting looks VERY familiar.![]()
Okey doke. There is a Stevo guy that posts on TOS and posts like you do, highlighting or bolding certain sentences. The only place I'm posting is here, and a bit in the Parking Lot. I have become weary of the crap on the political stuff, so my posting over there has fallen off as of late.... 🤐
Years ago when UK was playing Duke in an early season game, Coach K did the same thing when we thrashing the Blue Devils. Sadly his second five out scored us, and then they went on win the game.I do remember that incident and it did as it was designed to do. It got the message to the starters.

Florida Falls to No. 1 South Carolina in SEC Home Opener - Florida Gators
The Gators were challenged early by hosting the Gamecocks in their first conference game of the season. Florida was led on offense by Leilani Correa with 28 pointsfloridagators.com
Not gonna lie….. I feel like we stole that one from you guys.Terrible offensive possessions by Florida the last 5 minutes.
As the game was tied late, I knew Kugel would force a pass into Condon that ultimately gave Kentucky the lead. Overall, Kugel played well up until that turnover.![]()
FINAL: No. 6 Kentucky 87, Florida 85 - Florida Gators
A quick breakdown of Saturday's SEC opener at the O'Dome.floridagators.com
Will Richard was a no show, Tyrese Samuel had his worst game of the season, we missed 11 free throws and had terrible ball handling the last 5 minutes of the game. On the flip side, their 2 big time freshmen were clutch down the stretch. Tough loss and many will blame the refs, but this is a game we should have won at home.
Bullhockey!Kugel also has done nothing but hurt the entire team with his showboating.
You all have a decent KenPom after todays loss (36)… it’s not the losses you’ve suffered to date harming your chances for the danceDamn I hope blowing this or the Baylor game doesn't cost us a spot in the tournament at the end.

I think you all in better shape than your NET rating says, as the committee always takes some input from the computer ratings out there. With Sagarin no longer doing basketball, then KenPom becomes more influentialWe would be in that bubble area now. If we get some good SEC wins we still will likely need to finish 10-7 in SEC play the rest of the way. This was a bad loss to get considering it was a home game. You need a few of these to punch your ticket usually.

Agree. His assist to turnover ratio is among the best in the country and him handling the ball more would have curtailed some of the turnovers and sloppy ball handling that killed us late.I will say that Zyon needs to get the ball for UF late in the game - dude balled
It is a disquieting trend for sure.UF held the lead for 3/4 of the game, but they choked in the final 3 minutes:
UF 85 - 87 UK
The Game in a Nutt-Shell....
FG's -- UF 42.6% 29-68 -- UK 45%, 31-68 / +2.4%
3's ----- UF 29%, 9-31 ---- UK 25%, 5-20 / -4%
FT's --- UF 61.5%, 18-29 -- UK 71.4%, 20-28 / +9.9%
RB's -- UF O-11, D-32, Tot 43 -- UK O-8, D-32, Tot 40
Ast/TO's -- UF 11/11 --- UK 6/9
UF 8 Stl, 3 Blk -- UK 6 Stl, 2 Blk
UF won the 1`st half,,, 'it's not how you start that counts'
UK won the 2nd half ,,, 'it's how you finish that matters.'
In a previous iG post -- UF Cons:
- Cons: It can’t get out of its own way in some games.
- Just costly decisions on both ends of the floor. Very little continuity.
Good lord. Sounds like the refs were wearing vandy uniforms.![]()
Gators Basketball Edged by Vanderbilt 63-57 in First Road Contest of 2024 - Florida Gators
Florida basketball fell to the nearly undefeated Vanderbilt in Nashville, Sunday afternoon. Leilani Correa recorded her second consecutive 20+ point game to leadfloridagators.com
Look at the discrepancy in free throw shooting. With that said we only shot 20% from the 3 point arc and had a ton of turnovers, many of them in the last 3-4 minutes of the game.
