In 2020, the US was energy independent. In 2022, we are not.

Being energy independent means we can create enough energy to meet our own needs. So if SA and Russia cuts production when we have MORE THAN WE NEED then that is a GOOD THING for the United States. It means we can sell our excess FOR A LARGER PROFIT.

When we are energy dependent in 2022, the opposite happens. Cutting production FURTHER HURTS the United States because we have to BUY ENERGY FROM OTHERS.

Under Trump we didn't have to do that. @BSC911 just proved he has no idea how the O&G industry works.
