This is how fast grocery prices are rising.

For years, I've been looking for a jar marinara sauce for spaghetti that doesn't taste like shit. I was told to try RAO's Marinara at Publix. It was $6 a bottle, but I figured what the hell let's try it.

It was actually quite good. Is now my go-to marinara. I bought a jar about 10 days ago at Publix, not on sale, for $6.

I went back yesterday and the same product was on sale.....for EIGHT DOLLARS.

Two years ago today, Joe Biden promised to end the oil industry in America:
“No more subsidies for fossil fuel industry. No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period, ends.”
BScuck! Bwaaaack! Cuckledoodledoo!! Bwaaack!

Literally all of the prices you're using are completely made up. Average price in January 2017 when Trump took office was $2.45.

A year later it was $2.67, and stayed close to $3 for most of 2018 and 2019 until late 2019 when global economy began slowing and prices moved towards $2.70, and then Covid hit and really tanked gas prices.

Average price when Biden took office was $2.42, and average for this month is currently expected to be $3.13. A significant jump for Biden, but that's what happens when you see above average economic growth and demand for energy. Trump saw a jump in oil prices in 2018 with his best year of 2.9% GDP growth, as did Biden this year with about 4.5% GDP growth.

I miss @CFAGator and his spins that $4 a gallon gas is a result of the booming economy.

Funny how it boomed for real under Trump, and gas was under $2 a gallon.

Someone attempted to siphon gas out of my County vehicle last night. No, not joking. Their siphon got stuck in the filler tube...and I have them on camera.

Just freaking wow.
I have a locking gas cap. 10 years ago someone siphoned out 20 gallons sitting in my driveway. It's a pain in the ass. But it's useful now and paying dividends these days.

Wind, solar and pixie dust are the dem beliefs. Just go buy a $60 K Tesla and you won't have to worry about high gas prices. Of course for the ave consumer the payment will be like another mortgage, but no gas needed. And when you are finished paying for the Tesla, you will need a new battery pack costing $10 K and we will finance that for you too. And by then you will need a new Tesla and they will be $90 K and we will start the cycle all over again. Pixie dust. Rainbow chasers.

Sorry, but I have no intention of ever stuffing my 6'5" self into an aluminum beer can with an electric motor. Big SUVs for this Gator.

THIS is who the democrats are. And they are also low information people that will come right on this board and try to convince us that the president does not have any control over gas prices. They just are not bright, and NEVER will be. No way...no how.

Wait... I thought u said it was because of the Russia and Ukraine war? I thought he didn't control prices? You just can't wait to dive between his legs and lick his nuts
He only controls them when prices decline. That’s just the way it works.

Good job Joe.

Interesting. This guy is on the service side so doesn’t actually request permits. However, I do wish they would approve them faster, so he‘s got a point. But I also found this letter to Trump on his website. LOL.

Dear Mr. President:

Our company is spending roughly $80,000 a month in direct and indirect payments on tariffs, and the total will likely top $1 million in 2020. Only about 20 percent of that amount is paid directly—$206,263 in tariffs in 2019 and $44,383 in duties. However, the indirect costs are far higher due to the increased prices we have to pay our domestic suppliers in Houston that must also rely on Chinese importers and providers of raw materials.

In the pressure control portion of the oil field sector alone, a collective $2.5 million tariff is paid monthly by Canary and our direct competitors. When we also consider wholesalers and their clients (our indirect competition), the cost of tariffs on the sector is $120 million – or $10 million per month.

And that only includes the wellheads and related equipment corner of the market in which Canary specializes. It does not take into account the major service providers like Schlumberger, Halliburton, and Baker Hughes. When you include the entire domestic oil field services industry, the likely annual cost of these tariffs is in the billions of dollars. It is also important to realize that the oil field services industry includes countless small- and medium-sized businesses, from independent drillers to mom-and-pop vendors and suppliers. These entrepreneurs cannot afford the additional burden of tariffs right now.

Mr. President, please consider suspending tariffs on the products we rely on during this challenging time. I know your trade team has worked hard to strike the right balance in the past, but the coronavirus has altered the business landscape substantially. Our trade policies should reflect that new reality. It will take an extraordinary effort to rebuild the oil field services industry this year, and we are going to need every cost savings possible to regain our previous levels of success.

The ones on this board certainly seem to be.
The ones on Sooner Scoop are the same, maybe worse. I literally posted this video on scoop….

I posted no comments with it, and was told I was being political, called Qanon etc.

What I have learned, is being called Qanon or conspiracy theorist, is the new race card. Dems don’t want to have discussions, they want to shut them down.

To be fair, dems aren't educated on the topics they address. They can repeat the talking points, but they can't defend them.

Go to the football board. You will find that posters like @LizardGrad89 and @sadgator can offer at least some modicum of discussion on football. They can expound at least slightly on the topic at hand.

But here? They can repeat talking points. If you question those talking points, they go straight into personal attacks.

Sheep can bleat and repeat. That's it.

FWIW. Her comment at the end on “classis Russian technique”. Is also classic liberal technique

The electric vehicle garbage is just a lie to the people in every way. They are NOT cleaner...there is not NEAR enough infrastructure even near ready...and as of today...4% of all vehicles sold in America are EV's. Also...seeing that I have been in auto sales management for 35 years...I feel that I can speak on this subject with more knowledge than most. THIS WILL NEVER be the answer....that is...in the next 20-30 years(I am 60...in my lifetime) Battery technology (not BS advertised mileage ranges) at this time averages about 300-350 miles. That is..if you are not towing, hauling, climbing mountains or anything more than two people in that vehicle. There are lines all over the interstate at charging stations even though we basically have not sold many EV's. that will take a BUNCH of time to change that. Secondly...at least half of the people that drive have ZERO use for an EV, and will not buy one. Count ME as one of those people. I live a mile from work, and a few times a year tow my boat thousands of miles...and there is not..nor will there be in my lifetime an answer for someone that uses their vehicle that way. Our big three are OWNED by unions...therefor they cuddle up to the socialist side of our politics. They are just lying their asses off about being totally carbon free by 2035. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. No way...no how. There will be SMART manufacturers that will build vehicles that people WANT to buy...not forced to buy. In my opinion, clean diesel is the gap to get us to the eventual day where we have a workable clean energy vehicle. These hydrogen vehicles have been around for a LONG time, and they are not available to the public that I know of. Basically what I have seen they are used as busses, and company vehicles. I know GM has no plans that are near ready for the public

Volts are not the same as FCEVs. Fuel cells run on hydrogen. Toyota makes them and they get over 500 Miles in range per fill
And they are notoriously unreliable, expensive to own and repair PLUS destroy the environment.

But they spit water out the tailpipe, so dems think they are oh so dreamy.

Good post. Everything needs support and money. Conventional cars and gas have been supported and subsidized. Give hydrogen support and money and let’s get off the need for foreign oil bullchit. Toyota makes a muarai that is a hydrogen car. Numbers look good. 400 plus mile range and 75-150 miles to the gallon of H.

Imagine a bill that promotes hydrogen production, technology and hydrogen filling stations infrastructure. Cleaner air and millions of jobs. Im neither repub or dem, im a family man, a business man, and a good man that loves all people.

They are expensive to buy, but very cheap to own. I’ve spent next to zero on mine since Jan of 2021. Best car I’ve ever driven. Try going zero to 60 in 3 seconds. It’s awesome baby.
